1/ The ways Ukrainians and Russians define the words "victory," "crime," and "hospital" explain the VAST difference between the two nations—

—and it shows that Ukraine and Russia are polar extremes of how to live on this planet.

Thread 🧵⤵️ Image
2/ WORD ONE—VICTORY.

In Russian, victory is "pobeda," literally meaning "after the misery."

In Ukrainian, victory is "peremoha" = "over or beyond limits/ability."

Spot the difference?Image
3/ Think about that.

Russians toast to the time after suffering: Just put up with the Putin and hope it ends.

Ukrainians toast to ACHIEVING the impossible: Stop the bad guys & win.

Ukrainians dream of something better, whatever the odds.

It's coded in the language ⤵️ Image
4/ WORD TWO—CRIME.

Russian: "prestuplyeniye" = "stepping over the line"

Crime means disobeying the lines drawn by the State.

Ukrainian: "zlochyn" = "evil doing"

Crime means violating morality. Ukrainians will easily ignore the State, but they obey God and nature. ⤵️Image
5/ So when Russian soldiers level cities, they sleep fine—they followed orders and for them that's all that matters.

Ukrainians don't care what the State ordains. If it's wrong, they'll resist the government and do the right thing.

6/ WORD THREE—HOSPITAL.

Russian: "bolnitsa" = "place of pain"

Ukrainian: "likarnya" = "place of healing"

No wonder Russia targets hospitals. No wonder Ukraine rebuilds them.

A culture of screaming devils versus a culture of free people. ⤵️Image

7/ Italian filmmaker Federico Fellini said: "A different language is a different vision of life." 👓

Language shapes thought. Thought shapes action. Action shapes language. 🔄

Russia's words trap them in misery. Ukraine's language spurs them to transcend. ⤵️ Image
8/ What other words show the vast difference between Ukraine and Russia?

1/ Ukraine's soldiers hack robots in the trenches.

Weapons that lasted 6 months in 2022 are now obsolete in DAYS.

One reporter went alone to the frontlines. What he found shows that the Pentagon is catastrophically unprepared.🧵⤵️ Image
2/ These insights come from David Kirichenko (@DVKirichenko), speaking on Jonathan Fink's @CurtainSilicon podcast.

Kirichenko isn't a hotel-rooftop reporter. American son of Ukrainian refugees, he drives alone to the front with no team or extraction plan. ⤵️ Image
3/ "Each time I go to the frontline, I see the trends and patterns of the war change much faster than analysts [can] keep up with. The pace of innovation is only increasing," Kirichenko says.

The war is evolving faster than experts can track it. ⤵️ Image

🚨 RUSSO-IRANIAN KILLER DRONES ARE OVER POLAND/NATO RIGHT NOW.

We have reports of Polish/Nato air defense working against this Russian incursion.

Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, & the Netherlands have fighters up.

Meanwhile, scores of Russian drones are over Ukraine. Image
Rzeszów Airport in eastern Poland is shutdown due to the Russian killer drone threat.
Meanwhile, Ukraine is preparing for one of Russia's fortnightly-or-so massive attacks: Tu-95 bombers have taking off deep in the Moscow Federation, and in a few hours they will be at missile launchpoints around the Caspian Sea.

It will soon be a sleepless night in Ukraine. And maybe Poland.

1/ On Sunday mornings, Russia sends bombs.
Ukraine sends prayers.

Russia is not a Christian nation.
In fact, by practice, it's Islamic.

And here’s the kicker: Ukraine has more churchgoers than Russia—even though Russia is 4x bigger.

Putin lies. Numbers don't 🧵⤵️ Image
2/ In Russia, at least 1 in 3 active worshipers are Muslim, who make up about 10% of the population.

Meanwhile, not even 6% of Russian Orthodox worship weekly.

The churches have been empty since the Bolsheviks’ 1917 war on Christianity. ⤵️ Image
3/ On Christmas Day 2023, only 1.4 million Russians attended church—barely 1% of the population.

Instead >90% of Russians celebrate New Year’s Eve—the country’s true “holy day.”

📸Russia's "holy tradition" is a Hunger Games style New Years' state-approved variety-show ⤵️ Image

1/ Nixon warned in 1992:

Russia without communism would become MORE dangerous. And he was right.

He also gave another prediction: a way to stop it 🧵⤵️ Image
2/ In March 1992—just months after the USSR's collapse—former President Richard Nixon issued a chilling memo to President George H.W. Bush:

“A new Russian despotism, unburdened by the dying faith in communism… will be even more dangerous than Soviet totalitarianism." ⤵️ Image
3/ Nixon urged Americans to remember Russia’s history:

“Before communism, Russia already had a seven-hundred-year-old expansionist tradition.”

Communism at least carried an ideology. Without it, Russia faced a choice: either discover freedom—or let raw power run unchecked. ⤵️ Image

1/ When China invades Taiwan, will they be unprepared like Russia was in Ukraine?

No. Every month brings new proof that Chinese–Russian military cooperation is more than smiles at Beijing parades.

Hacked documents show China is studying, planning, and learning fast. 🧵⤵️ Image
2/ The hacktivists @blackmoon_group are leaking Russian defense files.

Latest drop: June 2024—Moscow sent Beijing the 7th package of Sword-208 Taiwan invasion plans.

We know from prior leaks that Sword 208 is a digital playbook + control software for an amphibious landing ⤵️ Image
3/ Frankly it seems Beijing has learned well from Russia's mistakes in Ukraine and is planning that when it invades Taiwan, the takeover will be swifter and smarter.

It's pretty scary to read how methodically they are preparing to take Taiwan.

1/ Putin’s sneakiest weapon in Ukraine isn’t a missile.

It's an Islamist-style terror network masquerading as Orthodox churches.

Fact: 85% of Ukrainians are Christian. Only 4% follow Moscow’s clergy, who work for Putin.

Ukraine's Christians (📸) lead the resistance🧵⤵️ Image
2/ This explosive report comes from Steven Moore (@MooreUSA), a Republican former congressional chief of staff now based in Kyiv, helping America understand Ukraine.

His org, Ukraine Freedom Project, just dropped A Faith Under Siege—a film exposing Putin’s war on Christians. ⤵️ Image
3/ Ukraine is one of the most Christian countries in the world: 85% identify as Christian. Especially in western Ukraine, they actually go to church.

All Ukrainians are free to worship as they wish.

Except... ⤵️ Image
