Financing Real-World Assets on-chain is complex and computationally intense 🤖.

Centrifuge has financed $165M+ of RWAs on Ethereum. But to realize true Real World DeFi, we need to go further.

Here's why! 🔽
2/ On Centrifuge Chain, we build the chain logic from the ground up (with @substrate_io as the groundwork!).

⛓ We can design our infrastructure to be exponentially more efficient and easy to use since it's tailor-made to our use case.
3/ This means we don't need to rely on smart contracts alone.

While powerful, EVM smart contracts can be complex and fee-hungry (as is the case for computationally intense RWA functions as we mentioned before).

But… we can still add smart contracts to our chain once needed!

1/ ⚡️ Centrifuge's @Polkadot parachain launch begins today!

To facilitate the migration from standalone chain to parachain, CFG transfers and the CFG<->wCFG bridge will soon be paused temporarily.

Token holders don't need to take any action, and there will be no impact on wCFG.
2/ 🙂 Let's dive into the details of this launch — and what to expect.

Centrifuge Chain has been live as a standalone chain since November 2020.

Now that we've won our @Polkadot parachain slot, it's time to migrate our chain over to the parachain!
3/ Beginning shortly after this tweet, our engineers will begin migrating chain state (which is why we need to pause the bridge and transfers).

⛓ A snapshot of balances, chain history, etc will be taken following the pause. We'll then migrate using this snapshot!
