This tweet by Viva Frei is a great summary of all the misinformation Republicans have been spreading on the Minnesota Shooting.

Here is a breakdown of each claim, and why it’s wrong. 🧵 Image
For starters, this post by Viva is meant to cast doubt on Vance being a Trump supporter.

Conveniently, it omits that:

- Public records show that Vance has been registered to vote as a Republican over the course of decades, most recently in 2022.

- He is an evangelical christian who we have on recording preaching about how God can cure homosexuality.

- His confirmed roommate, who he shared texts with right before the shooting, says he voted for Trump and was pro life.Image

Viva then moves on to pushing the central crux of the right wing misinformation narrative on Vance’s motive.

Viva wants you to believe that Vance is a deranged Democrat who shot Rep Hortman because she voted to take away healthcare from undocumented theory.

This theory is absurd.

Lex Fridman conducted a lengthy interview with Pro-Ukraine Journalist @IAPonomarenko.

He never posted it.

When asked about it by @nastasiaKlimash, he promptly blocked her.

Now he is requesting that Zelensky speak Russian in their interview (terrible optics).

He interviewed Javier Milei in a dual langauge format. I don’t see why that's not possible here.

Most listeners speak English so that would require only Zelensky to be dubbed over instead of both Lex and Zelenksy (under a Russian format).

There is a testable claim being made here that what the American people secretly want is aggressively higher taxes, more regulations, and dramatically increased subsidies.

And it seems like everytime we test that claim it’s false. 🧵
Voters on average put themselves well to the right of Kamala. This past election they punished Democrats most in deep blue areas, and did pretty much nothing to reward the most progressive elements of the Biden agenda or state Democrats.
The candidates we fielded which over performed ran to the center on economic issues, talking about government waste, tax cuts, cutting red tape, and curbing government borrowing.
