A month ago, I offered a Pulitzer-Prize-winning-journalist $10,000 if she could find video evidence of the exact quote she was attributing to Charlie Kirk in her post, word for word.
She still hasn't found it.
This is PULITZER PRIZE winning journalist...
Somehow, people forgot what a “quote” actually is.
It’s not a summary.
Not your interpretation.
Not “what they basically meant.”
A quote is, word-for-word, the exact sounds that came out of someone’s mouth.
A significant number of people in the comments don't get this.
I genuinely thought we had figured this out collectively, but I guess Leftists STILL need a lesson on how words work.
Charlie said, "you"
Not "Black women"
"you"
It’s the difference between categorizing an entire group of people, (racism) and pointing to individual people, as individuals, who benefited from DEI, (not racist).
It’s a massive distinction that seems to have been completely lost on the people who just are itching to call Charlie a racist, when he clearly was not.
It’s even more worrisome that thousands of you don’t understand what it means to put someone’s words in quotation.
Because if he didn’t actually say “black women”, then you cannot put it in quotes.
That's how quotes work, which is why quotation marks are important.
You don’t need a degree in linguistics to understand this concept. It’s basic literacy... and also it’s also basic ethics.
If you’re going to frame someone’s sentence as evidence of bigotry, you owe the audience, and the person you’re accusing, the courtesy of fidelity to the record.
These are kindergarten-level rules for communication.
They are the guardrails that keep disagreement honest and you can't remove them just because you hate someone.
It really bothers me this is still even remotely being debated.
If you believe “you” meant a specific demographic, then say that is your read of is statement and make your case.
Walk people through your reasoning.
But do not stuff your interpretation into quotation marks and then wave the punctuation like it proves itself.
It doesn't, and it makes you a lying fraud.

🚨#BREAKING: It has been revealed that Democrat Charlotte NC Sheriff, Garry McFadden, who refused to cooperate with ICE/Border Patrol on deportations of illegal immigrants...
...used his OWN police officers to transport political officials to strip clubs and topless bars
It gets worse...
McFadden also apparently threatened to retaliate against the POLICE OFFICERS who were assaulted by the criminal inmates at the detention center...
...then blamed the JAIL DEPUTIES for their OWN ASSAULTS
WHAT?!!!!!!
Oh my gosh...
Apparently, in 2020, an officer named "Crenshaw Hill" was STABBED IN THE NECK by an inmate who used shards of glass from a mirror...
...and McFadden BLAMED THE OFFICER FOR HER OWN STABBING!!!!!
...here's some advice on how to deal with to your liberal in-laws over Thanksgiving.
1) Do the dishes. (Yes, seriously.)
Character is the ultimate persuasion strategy and serving others builds trust faster than a debate ever will.
Serving does 2 powerful things:
a) It starts to crumble the caricature of you.
Every single liberal has been trained to see MAGA as “mean, selfish, hateful.” If you're delightfully helping do the dishes, it's hard to keep that mental stereotype intact.
b) It earns you future permission.
Most people don’t change their mind in one conversation.
They change over time, when you build trust with them.
So, if you want anyone to hear you, don’t start by trying to be right.
Start by being useful, that’s what cracks the wall.
2) Choose the route of MOST empathy
Conservatives often come across as non-empathetic when arguing their points... which is actually the exact opposite of the positions held by nearly everyone in the MAGA movement.
Let's take illegal immigration, as an example.
Your liberal in-laws may say something like, "it's so hard right now, you know... to be an immigrant in this country."
Your response should be to choose to show insane amounts of empathy to the REAL victims of illegal immigration: children trafficked into the country by Joe Biden.
So a response should be informative, and empathetic.
Here's an example: "Yeah, I can't imagine... I heard that they found 70 children in West Texas that were trafficked across the border and were living in the worst conditions. I'm glad at least this administration is finally doing something about it, just so awful what's been going on for years..."
So the response combines a few things:
a) Enormous amounts of empathy for the victims
b) A new piece of information
To effectively communicate with a liberal, you have to showcase that you care.
This was actually done to me by someone I consider a dear friend now after Hurricane Helene.
It works.
3) Lead with shared values
The worst thing that can happen to a liberal is for them to think you are calling them a bad person.
So much of the liberal identity is essentially agreeing with mantras, without much thought, to be perceived as kind and good.
So if you start with policy, they’ll hear it as a moral attack.
Start with the shared values first.
Say things like:
“I hate seeing people hurting.”
“I want families to be able to afford life again.”
“I want kids to be safe.”
“I want a system that’s fair.”
Then pivot to your view as a different ROUTE to the SAME destination:
Agree on the PROBLEM.
Affirm their HEART.
Then offer a different SOLUTION.
🚨#BREAKING: DHS has released a list of criminal illegal aliens arrested in Charlotte NC during "Operation Charlotte's Web"...
Let's meet who Democrats want to keep in the country!
First up:
Jordan Castillo-Chavez, a criminal illegal alien from Costa Rica.
He was arrested for indecent liberties with child, first degree sexual exploitation of a minor, attempted statutory sexual offense with a child less than 15 years old, and solicitation of a child by a computer.
He was RELEASED after authorities failed to honor the ICE detainer!
Meet Jose Ulloa-Martinez, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, was arrested for MURDER!!!
He was ALSO RELEASED after authorities failed to honor the ICE detainer.
Meet Osman Armondo Paz-Ortiz, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras.
He was arrested for sex offenses with a child, indecent liberties with a child, and sex acts by a substitute parent/custodian.
He TOO was RELEASED after authorities failed to honor the ICE detainer.
...and I just watched Virginia elect as its TOP LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, a man who wished for his conservative opponent to be assassinated, and for his kids to die too.
Democrats KNEW IT and chose him anyway.
I can’t shake what this means going forward... 🧵
This wasn't a vague “tone was too harsh” moment.
This was an EXPLICIT, written fantasy about killing a political opponent and their children over politics.
And a MAJORITY of Democrats looked at that, weighed it, and said: "we’re fine with this."
Think about that for a second.
Somehow Democrats have created a new normal in politics.
Apparently the new norm is:
Political violence is unthinkable… unless it’s aimed at the “right” people.
Then it’s “regrettable,” “out of character,” and “time to move on.”
