Let’s explore how the Qur’an presents the model of human behavior in both ease and adversity, and how the prophets — especially the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) — handled FOM, nazr, and jealousy from others when they themselves faced suffering or worldly loss.
⸻
🌿 1. The Quranic Standard: Steadfastness in All Circumstances
The Qur’an sets a universal model:
“Who, when afflicted with calamity, say, ‘Surely, to Allah we belong and to Him shall we return.’”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:156)
“So that you may not grieve for what has escaped you, nor exult over what He has given you. Allah loves not the arrogant, the boastful.”
(Surah Al-Hadid 57:23)
This means a believer’s heart stays balanced — neither broken by loss nor blinded by success.
⸻
🌤 2. Prophets in Good Times — Gratitude, Humility, and Service
Prophet Sulaiman (as)
Despite his vast kingdom, he acknowledged all power as a trust:
“This is by the grace of my Lord that He may try me whether I am grateful or ungrateful.”
(Surah An-Naml 27:40)
He didn’t succumb to arrogance or indulgence — showing that success is a test, not a reward to boast about.
⸻
Prophet Yusuf (as)
When he rose from slavery to kingship, he remained forgiving and humble:
“No blame shall lie on you this day. May Allah forgive you, and He is the Most Merciful of those who show mercy.”
(Surah Yusuf 12:92)
He embodied grace in victory — no bitterness, no revenge, no showing off to those who wronged him.
⸻
🌑 3. Prophets in Hardship — Patience, Hope, and Inner Contentment
Prophet Ayyub (Job) (as)
He lost wealth, health, and family — yet his lips praised Allah:
“And remember Job, when he cried to his Lord, ‘Affliction has touched me, and You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.’”
(Surah Al-Anbiya 21:83)
He never compared himself to others; instead, he saw even his suffering as a chance for nearness to Allah.
⸻
Prophet Musa (as)
He faced exile, fear, and rejection by Pharaoh’s people, yet the Qur’an says:
“Fear not; surely, I am with you both — I hear and I see.”
(Surah Ta-Ha 20:46)
He trusted divine companionship when worldly companionship failed — the antidote to FOMO and isolation.
⸻
Prophet Ya‘qub (Jacob) (as)
When separated from his beloved son Yusuf, he said:
“I only complain of my sorrow and grief to Allah, and I know from Allah what you do not know.”
(Surah Yusuf 12:86)
He didn’t express envy of others’ joy; his patience (sabr jameel) was silent and beautiful — a lesson against jealousy and self-pity.
⸻
🌙 4. The Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) — The Perfect Balance
The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) lived through extreme highs and lows:
From being orphaned, boycotted, and exiled — to being the leader of Arabia.
In Adversity
“Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter? And He found thee wandering and guided thee.”
(Surah Ad-Duha 93:6–7)
When the Quraysh prospered materially, he neither envied nor despaired. Instead, Allah consoled him:
“And surely the Hereafter is better for thee than the present life.”
(93:4)
This verse directly addresses the feeling of missing out — reminding that worldly delay is not divine neglect.
⸻
In Success
After conquest and triumph, he entered Makkah with his head bowed in humility, reciting:
“When the help of Allah comes, and the victory… glorify thy Lord with His praise and seek His forgiveness.”
(Surah An-Nasr 110:1–3)
He didn’t flaunt victory — he sought forgiveness, knowing blessings demand gratitude, not pride.
⸻
Against Jealousy and Nazr
The Qur’an itself gives him — and us — the prayer of protection:
“And from the evil of the envier when he envies.”
(Surah Al-Falaq 113:5)
He taught contentment:
“Look at those below you, not at those above you, for this will help you not to belittle Allah’s favors upon you.”
(Hadith – Muslim)
This is the prophetic cure for FOMO and envy — gratitude-focused living.
⸻
💫 5. The Inner Lesson — Handling FOMO, Nazr, and Jealousy
TemptationProphetic ResponseQuranic / Prophetic Example
FOMO – fear of missing what others haveFocus on divine timing and trust Allah’s plan“And it may be that you dislike a thing while it is good for you…” (2:216)
Nazr (evil eye) – when others envy youSeek refuge in Allah and stay humble in blessingsSurah Al-Falaq (113)
Jealousy – when others succeedReplace comparison with du‘a for their good and patience for yourself“Perhaps your Lord will give you better than that.” (25:10)
⸻
🌾 6. The Summary Principle
“Indeed, the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous among you.”
(Surah Al-Hujurat 49:13)
True worth isn’t in possessions or status — it’s in steadfastness (istiqamah), gratitude (shukr), and patience (sabr).
Every Prophet exemplified these at both peaks and valleys of life.

The Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) lived the simplest life imaginable — even when he ruled an empire. At times, he had no food for days, tying stones to his stomach to suppress hunger.
At other times, he distributed millions worth of treasure in a single sitting and went home hungry
Hadith:
“A month would pass with no fire lit in his house (for cooking). They survived on dates and water.”
(Sahih Bukhari)
At death, his shield was mortgaged for barley. He left behind no gold, no land, no fortune. Only prayer, humility, and love.

(SAW)
Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) wrote about the Holy Prophet ﷺ:
“When the world came running to him, he turned away from it.
He chose poverty over kingship, and scattered wealth like dust.
He preferred the love of Allah over all things.”
(Sirat al-Mahdi, Barahin-e-Ahmadiyya)
Many groups today claim to have the Mahdi or Messiah.
But who actually matches the 10 major Hadith signs?
(Appearance during Muslim strife, name Ahmad/Muhammad, East origin, sky signs, ending wars, etc.)
•AROPL? ❌
•Jamaat al-Qurban? ❌
•Divine Truth Movement? ❌
•Messiah Foundation? ❌
•Twelve Tribes? ❌
None fulfill even 3 out of 10 Hadith signs.
Only Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as):
✔ Name Ahmad
✔ Appeared amid Muslim collapse
✔ From the East (India)
✔ No new Shari‘ah
✔ Peaceful Jihad
✔ Ramadan eclipses (1894)
✔ Rejected by scholars
✔ Defeated Dajjal spiritually
✔ Natural death
The Mahdi was prophesied by the Holy Prophet (sa) to come in the East, preach peace, reject worldly power, and be recognized by divine signs. That prophecy has already been fulfilled. False claimants come and go — truth endures. #TrueIslam #Ahmadiyya
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) foretold the coming of the Mahdi:
“Even if faith ascended to the Pleiades, a man from Persia would bring it back.”
(Sahih Bukhari, Tafsir of Surah Jumu‘ah; also Mishkat al-Masabih)
The Mahdi would be of Persian descent — not Arab or American.
He also said the Mahdi would appear in the East:
“A voice will call out from the sky that the truth lies with the Mahdi and his followers.”
“When you see him, go to him—even if you have to crawl over ice.”(Ibn Majah) This sign was fulfilled in Qadian, India — not TikTok.
Federal court found Abdullah Hashem guilty of fraud, extortion & racketeering in a scheme to defame and exploit a religious group for profit. Court ordered return of stolen footage. Zero credibility. #AROPL #FraudExposed #FalseMessiah #MahdiHasAppeared

In 2008, a U.S. federal court exposed Abdullah Hashem—the man behind AROPL—as a fraudster who used Islam as a cover for blackmail, extortion, and defamation.
This isn’t Mahdihood. It’s fitna.

Hadith Thread: Mahdi of Persian Descent
Did the Holy Prophet Muhammad (sa) foretell that the Mahdi would be from Persia?
Yes. A powerful prophecy in Sahih sources points directly to this truth.
#TrueIslam #Mahdi #Hadith
#MahdiHasAppeared
The Prophet (sa) said:
“Even if faith ascended to the Pleiades, a man from among the Persians would surely bring it back.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari, Musnad Ahmad, Tirmidhi
This Hadith refers to a spiritual revival when Islam would be in decline.
The Prophet (sa) specifies a man from Persia—rajulun min Faris—would restore lost faith.
This cannot refer to the Sahaba, who were already present.
It refers to a future divinely guided reformer.
Did you know?
There’s no authentic Hadith that says Salat (prayer) will be abandoned when the Mahdi or Messiah appears. In fact, the opposite is true: they will revive the spirit and practice of Islam — especially Salat.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) foretold about the Mahdi:
“He will follow my Sunnah and will not awaken those who sleep nor shed blood.”
(Kanz al-‘Ummāl, Hadith 38661)
He will be peaceful and deeply devoted to the Sunnah — including prayer.
The Prophet (ﷺ) also said:
“Then your Imam from among you will lead you in prayer.”
(Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, Kitāb al-Īmān)
This refers to the Mahdi. Salat will not end — it will be led by a righteous Imam during his time.
