1. At first we ignored it, thinking maybe someone was drunk or lost, but the banging continued non stop for almost 10 to 15 minutes! 😭😂

We got scared because who on earth knocks at that kind of hour? 💀

2. Then suddenly, we heard footsteps inside the compound! Meaning whoever was outside had already jumped the fence/gained entrance….Na that time I know say we don enter soup.
While we were still panicking, one of our neighbors from the opposite house called.

3. The woman said “Is that your house they’re knocking? Don’t come out o!”
We told her yes, and tell her to help check who it was…as they live opposite.
She later gathered courage, called another neighbor nd they both stepped out to look.

4. Once I heard their voices outside, I felt a little relief 😅 nd I decided to go outside too but not empty handed 😤
I picked up my cutlass and my touch light, ready for whatever I was about to meet….

5. Now here’s the funniest part 😂
My wife followed me behind, holding Riggs perfume spray and Sure deodorant! 😭😭
I said, “Oga, what do you plan to do with that?”
She said confidently, “It might choke them.” 😂😂

6. I just burst out laughing in the middle of tension like,
“Oga, they won’t choke o, they’ll just be smelling nice while robbing us!” 😂😂

7. Long story short, we later discovered that the people banging the gate were new tenants who just moved into the compound!
They had arrived late because the husband said he needed to resume work early in the morning, and their agent wasn’t picking calls during the day.

8. They apologized after realizing how much panic they caused. but honestly, it was a crazy moment 😂
