The writers not knowing how to write Aang out of killing Ozai lead to Korra in its entirety

They couldn't just go "and Aang obliterated Ozai and now he'll live with that forever, always wondering if Zuko will hold it against him"

But No

Not, what they did instead was:

They HAD to write the lion turtle in, because heaven's forbid Ozai gets SUPER DUPER exhausted at the end of Sozins comet (which would've been an AMAZING caveat to the overcharge of power), and thus THAT makes him get caught
And since they wanted to appeal to kids more,

They realized Nickelodeon most likely WOULDNT let them allow Aang to kill the bad guy

So they HAD to write some contrived nonsensical way for Aang to bypass this moral conundrum

How does this lead to Korra?

BECAUSE PEOPLE REALIZED HOW DUMB THE LION TURTLE THING WAS

So NOW they had to JUSTIFY the lion turtle's existence with giving Aang this BRAND NEW power that for SOME reason, hundreds of thousands of previous Avatars couldn't have POSSIBLY gotten
Because THEN the question becomes, being that the avatar state is the sum total-

Of ALL previous Avatars knowledge and experience, why WOULDNT Aang have learned of it BEFORE

So NOW they had 3 problems

Which caused retconning to occur

The water tribe learned water bending from the moon and ocean

WELL NOW ITS LION TURTLES

Oh and NOW, even though-

The spirit world and our world were two SEPARATE worlds, with one seeping OCCASIONALLY in to the other, the spirit world WAS joined WITH our world... But this caused a new issue, HOW could humans have survived?
You could've EASILY had some humans living in harmony-

With GOOD spirits, setting up special barriers and what not against evil ones but NOOOOOO

Lion turtles housed and protected them

Like, every single issue in Korra stems from within Korra itself, but also as a way to try and explain away the goddamn Lion Turtle from ATLA proper

So NOW because people have RIGHTFULLY dogged on how poorly written, lackluster, boring, and pathetic Korra is, NOW the writers have to retcon stuff AGAIN and even though they spent a DECADE defending her, saying she's the ultra perfect bb gorl, can do no wrong...

NOW they have to explain away the consequences of season 4 of Korra... Because people RIGHTFULLY point out how INSANE things would HAVE to get...

Which brings us to series 3 of avatar...
In which KORRA DESTROYED THE WORLD

Series 3 will retcon almost EVERYTHING now

Which will EVENTUALLY pave the way for series 4 of a whole new series banking off the Avatar IP, unrecognizable to the first series

It all stems from bad writing
And from them trying to explain away the goddamn Lion Turtle

I'll fix it, lemme remake it and decanonize Korra

It wouldn't take much work

Update ATLA with better art, remove the blummen lion turtle giving Aang the stupid energy BS

Have Ozai and ALL fire benders get EXTREMELY fatigued for MONTHS on end

Have THAT be the way Aang handles him-

-through Attrition then capture

Have the lion turtle mention that he doesn't NEED to end his life, just use the comet to exhaust him, then throw him in a special prison in the northern water tribe and have the Earth Kingdom and Northern Water Tribe work together to-

-keep guard on them all

Then you do Aang book 4

Top works on perfecting Metal Bending, teaches it to Aang

And Katara, through testing on fire nation soldiers, learns how to lock a persons bending, and after some practice, locks Ozai 's bending away,

Similar to how Amon was doing it in Korra

We can see Zuko take Toph on her Zuko life changing journey, and there, she meets a guy who makes her laugh and feel good, and who gives her the idea to make a metal bending school, and that can function LIKE the Dai Li-

But in service OF the Avatar and his goal for peace

Similar to the comics, but also not

Have it also be a coming of age story, where Aang is now 18, dealing with a LOT of repair to the world
As he is told that Katara is expecting a child

And have Zuko's mom be dead

The whole "she got a new identity and got amnesia to hide her life" is so fucking stupid

Just say Ozai intended to marry some rich broad, so he had Zuko's mom killed in secret by his agents, and then the chick died so he just didn't care anymore, as he had 2 kids

And then, by the end of the series, have Zuko call the leader of each nation to section some land, and form a new unified nation where they can all work together

And at the end of the series, show him prove these idiots wrong... By stepping down and eliminating the

Fire Nation royal family forever, to move towards a brighter future

There's ways to have brought SOME of Korra to fruition properly, with better writing

And the entire foundation was laid in ATLA, WITHOUT having to add energy bending given by the Lion Turtle
