If Obamacare were truly affordable, we wouldn’t be talking about subsidies.

15 years later, the so-called “Affordable Care Act” is anything but. Now, Dems are desperately distracting you from their failed policies.🧵⬇️
With the average cost of family health insurance soaring to $27,000, it shouldn’t be a surprise that nearly half of Americans say they find it difficult to afford healthcare costs.

Following the implementation of Obamacare, healthcare costs have rapidly outpaced inflation. Image
While Dems have spent weeks blaming Republicans for premium increases, they’re ignoring that they are responsible for the policies that have created this mess.
They broke our healthcare system by outlawing short-term, low-cost plans favored by millions, & then for years tried to use subsidies as a bandage at the expense of American taxpayers. Image
❌ Premiums for individual market plans have doubled.

❌ Seven million Americans lost their preferred plans.

❌ Obamacare’s individual market struggled with enrollment—meaning consumers were forced to pay more for lower-quality care with more restrictions.
Dems in Congress have known for a while that Obamacare is collapsing under its own weight, but with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, they saw an opportunity to hide it.
Democrats slapped a new coat of paint on a rotting wall by instituting “temporary” COVID credits—misleading the American people. ⬇️
Dems are actively pinning the blame for the upcoming COVID credit expiration on Republicans, fully knowing they are the Party that set the timeline and end date.
They conveniently leave out that these subsidies are paid directly to insurers—not patients. ⬇️ Image
Last year, insurers received $35 billion in subsidies to cover patients who filed no medical claims—meaning the insurers received billions in government reimbursement for enrollees who cost these insurance companies almost nothing.

Yet your premiums are still going up. Image
Dems have spent weeks trying to convince the American people that extending these credits is the ONLY way to prevent healthcare premiums from skyrocketing.

That’s blatantly false.

Only 3.3% of 2026 Obamacare premium increases are related to the expiring COVID credits. Image
Healthcare costs are expected to rise in 2026 by almost 18%, but again, Dems aren’t being honest about why:

-Structural flaws in Obamacare
-Surging medical costs tied to Bidenflation
-Costly new drugs and therapies
Not to mention the rampant waste, fraud & abuse under these Democrat subsidies & Obamacare at large.

Just this year, nearly 6.4 million individuals were improperly enrolled in Obamacare—totaling $27 billion in wasted taxpayer dollars. Image
Dems are insisting on keeping the government shut down because they are demanding Republicans fix a problem they created & then tried to cover up with massive amounts of YOUR tax dollars.
Senate Republicans want to lower the cost of healthcare to ensure Americans have access to high-quality care that they can afford.

But one thing is clear: doubling down on Dems’ failed policies isn’t the answer.

Mayor-Elect Mamdani’s pledge to facilitate the arrest of Benjamin Netanyahu is not just ridiculous; it represents a grave threat that could seriously damage America’s relationship with our closest allies and partners. 🧵
foxnews.com/politics/gop-s…
The United States is not bound by the morally bankrupt ICC or the Rome Statute, displaying that Mamdani’s comments aren’t based in respect for any law, but rather to virtue signal to his radical, anti-Israel base.
Seeking to prevent Prime Minister Netanyahu from setting foot in New York, home to the United Nations, would put Israel at a unique disadvantage at a critical time for the nation ahead of the next meeting of the U.N. General Assembly.

Democrats are relentlessly spreading misinformation about our efforts to preserve & protect Medicaid.

The facts aren't on their side. Nobody is cutting Medicaid. We're making it sustainable for those it was originally intended for.

I'll explain here🧵:
2/x Medicaid is a critical program, but federal Medicaid spending has increased by more than 200% since 2008 & 51% since just 2019.

Why? It costs the federal government way more to cover able-bodied adults added under Medicaid expansion than those traditionally enrolled.
3/x Through a budgeting gimmick, states have required medical providers to pay the state's fair share of Medicaid costs.

Why would they agree to do this?

Because providers get this money back—often in spades. States leverage this to receive as much as 9 to 1 federal dollars.

Today, the Director of National Intelligence released the Intelligence Community’s unclassified annual report of worldwide threats to the national security of the United States.

Here are my takeaways 🧵 /1
China is the most advanced and persistent long-term threat to America’s interests and those of our Allies and Partners. /2 Image
Should the CPP attempt to take Taiwan by force, it would have disastrous effects on America’s economy and security interests.

As a member of @SASCGOP, I am focused on ensuring our military has the authorities & resources necessary to maintain deterrence in the Taiwan strait. /3 Image

I wanted to let folks know why I voted against the second Coronavirus package early this morning...
We have to deal with the Coronavirus outbreak in a responsible way. That’s why I voted for the initial $8.3 billion aid package and support President Trump’s national emergency declaration...
But this second package was deeply flawed in both process and substance. It was written in secret and sprung on House members at midnight with minutes to digest billions of dollars in new spending and regulatory impact...
