Erin Vogel, Community Engagement District Council member, provides a few updates.

Last Saturday was the district council meeting. At this meeting transit concerns, gun violence, and building foundation with the commission were discussed.
Vogel mentions a CCPSA meeting is taking place tomorrow (10/30) electing a new president and a presentation for a new proposal.
“Public safety is more than the police,” Vogel says.
A 9th district CPD officer along with representatives from the Illinois Domestic violence hotline, provides resources for those experiencing domestic violence.

One member of the audience asks about how many incidents of domestic violence.
A woman from the Illinois Domestic Violence hotline talks about various resources that the network offers.

8am/9am, 12pm and 5pm are suggested as the best times to call for an updated bed count (for readily available shelter).
