So a couples friend of mine decided to dress up as an ICE agent and an illegal alien for Halloween this year, which I thought was both hilarious and creative. As you can imagine, it went straight downhill from there…. And they live in the DFW area.

They went trick or treating with a large group of 30+ people, and one of the moms took a group photo of all the parents and kids. The next day, she was being tagged on a Facebook post that was posted in the moms group for that suburb. The post was by a woman that she did not even know, and it demeaned her character, calling her racist, ignorant, insensitive, and more.

This woman had “Where’s Waldo’d” the couple, circled them in red, and did not blur their faces or the faces of children / other parents. You can’t even read the man’s costume, it looked like an FBI agent as it was just a jacket and a cap, and the letters were pixelated in the large photo. My thought is someone in the group or 30+ told this woman (agitator) about it, gave her the photo, showed her the couple, and named them.

Pretty soon people were piling in. All comments that disagreed with the agitator and supported the couples’ costume were promptly blocked, which deletes their comments from the thread. All supporting people (note: all women) were left on it.

The next day it escalated further.

A group of moms had begun emailing the school’s (grade school) principal and vice principal, along with the PTA. They wanted her head. They wanted her removed from the PTA, never be allowed to volunteer in school again, and have to issue a public apology. They had threatened her in the FB post, and they were making good on their threats. True cancel culture.

The woman who wore the costume works on the PTA in a senior position, has for 5+ years now. She does a ton of volunteer work for them including organizing major fundraisers and other activities. At first she was told that the superintendent said, “Drop it” to the moms, but the next day that changed.

As of yesterday, the PTA now asked the woman for a public apology, or they would vote on the board in an emergency session on her removal. Being a true believer, the woman said she would never apologize for wearing a costume supporting our law enforcement. Next steps are now pending..

The woman is a single woman with a young child, and this has caused her extreme emotional distress. She has been crying for days, unable to even do her job.

It’s SICKENING to me that in America you can’t even have fun anymore, especially on Halloween. For a holiday where most people dress up as serial killers, it is pure Orwellian to me that these people would be the subject of such persecution.
