.🚨 Every American has the right to live in peace at home, free from illegal harassment and intimidation.

When this basic aspect of the social contract is violated, law enforcement must intervene.

But what is happening to my friends in this matter is shocking. 🧵

/2 First thing to note: Stephen and Katie are dear friends of mine. They are loving parents. They are patriots.

So yes, I have strong personal feelings about this situation.

But what appears to be happening here should bother every American.

Why? Read on.

/3 According to public reporting, in April, a woman sent text messages to a WhatsApp group asserting that Stephen, "the evil fascist . . . had moved into Arlington."

She further said that she and a group were going to "make his life hell."

/4 According to public reporting, on September 11--THE DAY AFTER CHARLIE KIRK WAS ASSASSINATED--this same woman was spotted posting flyers in the neighborhood.

The flyers had Stephen's photo and HOME ADDRESS.

Again, one day after Charlie Kirk's assassination.

/5 ​​Keep in mind, in between the April messages and the September flyers, the organization this woman appears to be associated with flooded its Instagram page with constant images describing Stephen as a N*zi and other things.

There were other flyers. Other things.

/6 According to the reporting, she went further. As if posting a photo with a circle and a cross through it, listing his home address, and describing him as a Nazi wasn't enough...

/7 How would ANY reasonable person perceive that? Especially in the aftermath of the Charlie Kirk assassination.

Public reporting indicates that the federal government and the Virginia State Police are investigating to determine if the conduct at issue violated either a federal statute or a state statute that prohibits doxxing people.

/8 The federal statute is 18 U.S.C. 119. Read it for yourself and form your own opinion about whether the conduct described, in the time it occurred and in light of all of the circumstances, would violate the statute.

/10 Both statutes are pretty clear, and involve serious conduct.

Facts have to be investigated to determine if charges can be brought, and then it's up to the judge/jury.

But what happens when people involved in the process appear to interfere with the pursuit of justice for partisan reasons?

/11 Multiple news outlets are reporting that the elected Commonwealth's Attorney for Arlington County and the City of Falls Church, Parisa Deghani-is interfering with the investigative process.

She is a "Soros prosecutor," FWIW.

/12 Oh, and fun fact, she follows the group (ANUFH) on Instagram that has been targeting Stephen and Katie all year (and that the woman in question is apparently a member of).

Must be totally random.

/13 That's just at the local level. At the federal level, the news reports that a Magistrate Judge, Lindsey Vaala--who donated many times to both Presidents Obama and Biden--has denied the FBI's application for a search warrant for the woman's phone.

/14 This whole thing is insane.

We are talking about simple investigative steps. Following what appears to be a fairly obvious trail, but based on public reporting, appears to have been denied.

In my opinion, this is NOT unbiased conduct in the pursuit of justice.

This looks like partisan obstruction.

/15 These people know what they are doing. They know that if the facts at hand involved a high-profile person on the left, they would act completely differently.

So, (partially rhetorical), is this where we are as a society now?

/16 I don't care if I agree with you or not about anything. I will never go disturb someone's home. I will never disturb someone's family. LEAVE PEOPLE ALONE.

There is no constitutional right to illegally incite violence, intimidate other citizens, or conspire to do so.

/17 This is not about the First Amendment. This is about first principles.

Societies do not thrive when people feel licensed to doxx other members of that society. Societies thrive when law enforcement can do its job and protect people.

We cannot just accept that this is the new normal.

/18 If you are a member of the legal profession and you think it's totally fine for this kind of conduct to occur, then you need your head examined.

"Oh, I don't like so-and-so's policies." STOP.

EVERY American deserves equal protection under the law. Especially if you are a lawyer or a judge, you know this.

/19 I know it's a broken world. I know things will never be as perfect as I want them to be.

But I will never stop fighting for the things that I believe, and for the future that I know we can have.

And that means fighting for my friends, too.

This appears to be a massive miscarriage of justice in the works. That cannot happen.

Draw your own conclusions from the information you find, but if your mind even begins to attempt to justify this situation because you have a political disagreement with my dear friends Stephen and Katie, you are totally lost.

/20 And I'll add, there have been times in our past when idiots in this country have sought to employ similar tactics against their fellow Americans because of their race and other characteristics. Real people were killed/harmed. Congress finally acted later.

Congress needs to act now to stop this epidemic from spreading.

It's Stephen and Katie now, and it will undoubtedly be someone else next.
