🧵 An update following the meeting of the heads of the opposition parties last night. The party leaders discussed the bloc's strategy for victory in elections.

The party leaders are happy regarding and commended the progress of the efforts to return all our hostages and emphasize that these cannot stop until the final hostage has returned.

The party leaders stated:
We intend to fight against the draft evasion law. In the Knesset, in the streets and in the legal arena.
3/6
Due to the heavy burden on active-duty soldiers and reservists – we demand that the army act according to the law and increase efforts to draft the ultra-Orthodox. The vast majority of the people of Israel want equal enlistment for all and we will fight to make this happen.
4/6
The continued attempts to undermine the legal system and the media laws represent a complete return of the “judicial overhaul” and an attempt to interfere in the election campaign in an election year. We will not allow this and will fight it.
5/6
We will continue to work with all our might to bring about elections as quickly as possible, with full faith that this together with a State Commission of Inquiry are the only things that will restore trust between the citizens of the state and its institutions.

Yair Lapid and Benny Gantz will deliver statements shortly at the beginning of the first Blue and White faction meeting since the election
Yair Lapid, “I came to politics to fight for things I believe in. We didn’t win this round, I respect the voters and their decision but I look around me and see the best group for winning the next round.”
Yair Lapid, “They will try to break us apart but it won’t happen. We have the DNA of governing party. We are going not only to the opposition but to the Knesset to start the next campaign.”
