🧵 Mirza Ghulam Ahmad's AS Love for Jesus AS

Anti-Ahmadis claim that the Promised Messiah AS blasphemed Isa AS. It is not just a lie but also illogical.

"If I were, God-forbid, to insult Jesus, why would I state that I resemble him? For this would be to undermine my own self." Image

1)
"He [Allah] has also informed me that Jesus is truly one of the very beloved and pious servants of God and is one of those who are the chosen people of God whom God purifies with His own Hand and keeps them under the shadow of His light..and is among the perfect ones.." Image
2)
"There is no doubt that the Prophet Jesus as is a great Prophet of God. He is without question loved and honoured by God, a light of this world and the sun of guidance. He was glorified before the Lord God and possessed a status close to His throne." Image
3)
"..the true love and true respect I have for Jesus, the Messiah, in my heart along with the statements which I heard from the tongue of Jesus, the Messiah..the message he gave me. All these matters have moved me to become an ambassador from Jesus to the court of Your Majesty." Image
4)
"..It has been supposed that the heart of Jesus earned the application of ‘curse’ for three days. My body trembles with this thought and every particle of my being becomes restless. How can the word ‘curse of God’ be imagined to apply to the pure heart of the Messiah..." Image
5)
"I dare to submit to you..to clear Jesus the Messiah, with courageous resolve, of this stigma placed upon his honour...I accept every danger for the sake of the honour of Jesus, the Messiah, and having been called to serve as his ambassador, I stand before our just ruler" Image
6)
"Then, the Messiah, who was a true Prophet of God Almighty and His Beloved and Chosen One, to remove this false concept which had become entrenched in the hearts of the Jews due to their shortsightedness, laid before them those blessed words of his that are present in John.." Image
7)
"I consider the Messiah as a true Prophet and a venerable and beloved servant of God Almighty. That was merely a remonstrative rejoinder that was appropriate to your taste, and that accusation falls on you, not on me" Image
8)
"..I call God to witness that I bear such love for him..You can never recognize him with the enlightenment with which I recognize him..He was a beloved and exalted Prophet of God and was one of those who are particularly blessed by Him and purified by His hand." Image
9)
"Similarly, the Jews level all kinds of charges against Hadrat ‘Isa as..Thus, when filthy-natured enemies have not spared such pure-natured and the holiest of men from their foul slanders of carnal indulgence, and have considered them to be lacking in self-purification." Image
10)
"..with respect to the advent of the Promised Messiah, He has sent me from Heaven, so that in the spirit of that man of God, who was born in Bethlehem and brought up in Nazareth, I may engage myself in assisting with the good and blessed objectives of Her Majesty." Image
11)
"..It was then that the God of Heaven raised a lightgiving moon from the land of Nazareth – ‘Isa [ Jesus], the Messiah; so that just as the word ‘Nazareth’ signifies verdure, freshness and greenery in Hebrew, the same could be instilled in the hearts of people." Image
12)
"..neither shall the Promised Messiah engage in war, nor shall he raise the sword.. he will possess the essence and character of ‘Isa [Jesus], on whom be peace, in every respect. He shall be so imbued with his nature that it shall be as if he is exactly the like of him." Image
13)
"..I hold the Messiah son of Mary, in high esteem..the Messiah son of Mary was the Khaatam-ul-Khulafaa of the Israelite dispensation. The Son of Mary was the Promised Messiah of the Mosaic dispensation..so I honour greatly the one whose name I bear.." Image
14)
"No doubt, he was from among those near to God. He was blessed by Allah and had the distinction of prophethood." Image
15)
"I wish to make it clear to our readers that our doctrine regarding the Messiah, peace be upon him, is a highly virtuous belief, and we maintain the conviction with all our hearts that he was a true Prophet of God Almighty..and that he too was a sincere servant.." Image
16)
"And remember that we respect Hazrat Isa and consider him a Prophet of Allah Almighty. Whatever has been written by us about Hazrat Isa that goes against his stature, it is in the form of an Ilzami Jawab and in actuality, we have quoted the words of Jews.." Image
17)
"I wish to make it clear to our readers that our doctrine regarding the Messiah, peace be upon him, is a highly virtuous belief, and we maintain the conviction with all our hearts that he was a true Prophet of God Almighty and His beloved." Image

🧵 Is there Ijma' that Isa AS is alive?

Some Muslims claim there's consensus that Jesus AS is still alive & that denying it is Kufr. But Tafsir Tabari records 4 differing views of the Salaf.

3/4 views translate 'Tawaffa' as 'Taking of the Soul', disproving any claimed Ijma'. Image
VIEW #1: TAWAFFA = DEATH

"And others said: The meaning is: I will take you with the taking of death." Image
VIEW #2: TAWAFFA = SLEEP

"Then the interpreters differed regarding the meaning of 'taking'...

Some said: 'It is the taking [of soul] during sleep' and according to them, the meaning was: 'I am causing you to sleep and raising you during your sleep.'" Image

🧵 Similarities in the death of Muhammad ﷺ & Mirza Ghulam Ahmad AS

Anti-Ahmadis make allegations about the blessed death of the Promised Messiah AS but such allegations are only mocking the Prophet ﷺ.

Both died while surrounded by family & in remembrance of Allah. Image
1) EXTREME SUFFERING?

Anti-Ahmadis claim that Ahmad AS had to suffer during his last illness which isn't befitting a prophet's death.

Ayesha RA says:
"I never saw anybody suffering so much from sickness as Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)."
[Sahih al-Bukhari 5646] Image
2) LAST WORDS: REMEMBRANCE OF ALLAH

• Muhammad ﷺ:
"O Allah! (with) the highest companion"

• Ahmad AS:
"O my beloved Allah" Image

🧵Meaning of Nuzul (نزول)

Non-Ahmadi Muslims claim that since the Ahadith use the word Nuzul (Descend) for the Messiah, thus, he is alive in the Heavens with his physical body.

But Nuzul has been used for:
• Muhammad ﷺ
• Dajjal
• Animals
• Armies
• Clothes
• Treasures Image
1) NUZUL IN HOLY QUR'AN

The Holy Quran uses the word Nuzul for the following. Whenever Allah provides something of importance, the word 'sent down' (Nuzul) is used.

• Muhammad ﷺ
• Animals
• Clothes
• Treasures
• Iron
2) NUZUL IN AHADITH

Whenever someone stops at a place or takes shelter, the word Nuzul is used as well.

• Muhammad ﷺ
• Armies
• Dajjal

🧵 Nuzul (نزول) in Ahadith

Many Muslims believe Isa AS is alive and will fly down from the sky only because ahadith mention his descent in the latter days.

1. Contradicts the Quran and Ahadith.
2. Ahadith don't mention descent from "sky/heaven". Image
1) NUZUL OF MUHAMMAD ﷺ

وَنَزَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تَحْتَ سَمُرَةٍ
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) took shelter under a Samura tree.
[Bukhari 4135] Image
2) NUZUL OF MUHAMMAD ﷺ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لَمَّا نَزَلَ الْحِجْرَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) landed at Al-Hijr during the Ghazwa of Tabuk

🧵 Nuzul (نزول) in the Holy Qur'an

Many Muslims believe Isa AS is alive and will fly down from the sky only because ahadith mention his descent in the latter days.

1. Contradicts Quran and Ahadith.
2. Ahadith don't mention descent from "sky/heaven". Image
1) NUZUL OF MUHAMMAD ﷺ

Quran mentions that the Prophet ﷺ was sent down. Did he also fly down from the sky as the non-Ahmadis imagine?

“.. Allah has indeed sent down to you a Reminder—A Messenger, who recites unto you the clear Signs of Allah ..”
[Quran 65:10-11] Image
2) NUZUL OF ANIMALS

Quran also mentions that cows/sheep were sent down as well.

اَنۡزَلَ لَکُمۡ مِّنَ الۡاَنۡعَامِ ثَمٰنِیَۃَ اَزۡوَاجٍ
“…. He has sent down for you of the cattle eight pairs.”
[Quran 39:6] Image

🧵Is Isa AS alive? Raf'a Explained | Quran 4:158

Many Muslims claim this verse proves Isa AS has been physically alive in heaven for 2000 years:

بل رّفعه الله إليه
"Rather, Allah raised him to Himself"
[Quran 4:157]

Let's find out! Image
1) ❌ REFUTATION OF THE "SUNNI"/SHIA BELIEFS

The following 🧵 refutes:
1) Isa AS is alive since the verse says he was NOT killed/crucified
2) Isa AS was raised ALIVE to HEAVEN with PHYSICAL BODY
2) ⬆️ ALLAH'S ATTRIBUTE: AL-RAFI

"Among the names of Allah, the Most High, is الرافع (The Exalter). He is the One who raises the believers by granting them happiness, and elevates His close servants by drawing them near"

This attribute is NOT used in terms of physical ascension Image
