There’s a new brand of Christianity that insults, curses, demeans, and spews vitriol. For every large account that dies it, they have an army of small accounts that spew more hate and curses than they do.

It’s often the same accounts that harp on women’s submission.

Allow me to be the first to point out that controlling the tongue and policing your speech is addressed in well over 100 passages in the Bible from Proverbs, to James, to Paul’s epistles.

It’s not some cute and endearing faux paus to spew hate in Christs name all day. In fact the Bible says it’s a reflection of exactly what’s in your heart- venom.

Being generous, there’s 6-10 verses about women submitting to their husbands (the only man ever listed that women should submit to)

So which did God (in all His wisdom) anticipate being a larger issue?

“Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” Luke 6:45, Matthew 12:34

I will now provide evidence of these accounts winking at their own poisonous tongues “better to be rough around the edges than a polite liar”- not a biblical take

It’s tone policing and concern trolling to expect people to correct in love as the Bible says.

The people who chest thump hardest about submission will not submit to the word of God.

“You just want me to follow scripture because your following is tiny”

“Jesus insulted people so I don’t have to submit to the word of God, my reasons are exactly like Jesus”

This is how we represent Christ. This is what passes for ambassadorship.
