1. @LePapillonBlu2 @OlgaPatl
I need to share this discovery with someone who appreciates Latin music and/or great dancing.
The big stuff starts down at tweet no.3.
First, there's Bad Bunny's international Numero Uno hit, "NUEVAYoL".
2. Bad Bunny's record begins with a sample from "Un Verano en Nueva York" by Andy Montañez and El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico.
Here's the track, but listen to what happens starting around 3:10 (I've timestamped the link for you):⤵️
3. Now we get to the good stuff. You hear the solo on thhe timbales that begins at 3:10? There are now all these TikTok videos of Latinos dancing SPECIFICALLY TO THAT SOLO:⤵️ youtube.com/shorts/_v4gSTa…
5. It blows my mind that there are all these people who MEMORIZED THE TIMBALE SOLO so that they could create their own dance moves to it!! youtube.com/shorts/o4t6jxg…
10. So there's 8 of them.
Vote for your favorite.
For me, the timbale solo was the best part of the song in the first place because of the cross rhythms, but the fact that creating choreography to it has become a thing is really OVER THE TOP.🇵🇷 youtube.com/shorts/m4xDTKx…

2/ It seems to me that most alternative methods out there are inappropriate. You're not going to switch to an Ayurvedic diet. Aromatherapy? Acupuncture? Not under your current conditions.
You need a quick solution, and also a more elaborate but direct solution.
3/ It would be easy to incorporate meditation into your life.
You either lie down flat, or you sit up with your legs crossed.
You close your eyes.
You focus on your breathing.
You think about your breathing.
After a while, you try to THINK ABOUT NOTHING.
ANORA is mediocre filmmaking, second-rate at best, & in no way did it deserve the Palme d’Or at Cannes, but the President of the Jury was Greta Gerwig, who is also a lightweight. We're in an Era of Mediocrity.
2. The story: like “Cinderella”, except that the girl goes from rags to riches back to rags.
That’s all. In terms of plot complexity, PRETTY WOMAN (1990) is like a Verdi opera by comparison.
3. The best thing: Mikey Madison, in the lead role as the lap dancer. She’s phenomenal & carries the whole film. She comes across as a real New Yorker (despite her having grown up near L.A., in “the Valley”), perfectly nailing both the NY accent & the streetwise demeanor.
