Introducing Claude Opus 4.5: the best model in the world for coding, agents, and computer use.

Opus 4.5 is a step forward in what AI systems can do, and a preview of larger changes to how work gets done. Image
Our engineers have found that Opus 4.5 handles ambiguity and reasons about tradeoffs without hand-holding.

When pointed at a complex, multi-system bug, it figures out the fix.

Overall, Opus 4.5 just "gets it."
We’re also releasing new product features across our model line-up.

For Claude app users, long conversations no longer hit a wall.

Claude automatically summarizes earlier context as necessary, so you can keep the chat going indefinitely.
New on the Claude Developer Platform: tool search, programmatic tool calling, and tool use examples.

Together with effort control and context compaction, these let Claude run longer and do more with less intervention.

Claude Code is now available in our desktop app.

Run multiple sessions in parallel: code, research, and update work all at once.

And Plan Mode gets an upgrade with Opus 4.5—Claude asks clarifying questions upfront, then works autonomously.
We’ve also expanded Claude for Chrome to all Max plan users.

Max, Team, and Enterprise users can work with Claude directly in Excel.

Now in beta: claude.com/claude-for-exc…Image
Opus 4.5 is available today on our API and on all three major cloud platforms.

Introducing Claude Opus 4.7, our most capable Opus model yet.

It handles long-running tasks with more rigor, follows instructions more precisely, and verifies its own outputs before reporting back.

You can hand off your hardest work with less supervision. Claude Opus 4.7 Benchmarks
Opus 4.7 also has substantially better vision. It can see images at more than three times the resolution and produces higher-quality interfaces, slides, and docs as a result.
On the API, a new xhigh effort level between high and max gives you finer control over reasoning and latency on hard problems. Task budgets (beta) help Claude prioritize work and manage costs across longer runs.

Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code.

Configure a routine once (a prompt, a repo, and your connectors), and it can run on a schedule, from an API call, or in response to an event.

Routines run on our web infrastructure, so you don't have to keep your laptop open. Now in research preview: routines in Claude Code
Routines each come with their own API endpoint, so you can point your alerts, deploy hooks, or internal tools at Claude directly. Try sending Claude an alert payload and asking it to find the owning service and post a triage summary to #oncall.

POST a message and get back a session URL.
Webhook routines subscribe to GitHub events and let Claude respond as they come in. Try pointing one at your repo and asking Claude to flag any PR that touches /auth-provider and post a summary in #auth-changes.

More event sources are coming soon.

We're bringing the advisor strategy to the Claude Platform.

Pair Opus as an advisor with Sonnet or Haiku as an executor, and get near Opus-level intelligence in your agents at a fraction of the cost. The advisor strategy on the Claude Platform
Add the advisor tool to your Messages API call. When your Sonnet or Haiku agent hits a hard decision mid-run, it consults Opus, gets a plan, and continues, all within a single API request.
In evals, Sonnet with an Opus advisor scored 2.7 percentage points higher on SWE-bench Multilingual than Sonnet alone, while costing 11.9% less per task. Sonnet with an Opus advisor vs. Sonnet alone scoring on SWE-bench Multilingual

Introducing Claude Managed Agents: everything you need to build and deploy agents at scale.

It pairs an agent harness tuned for performance with production infrastructure, so you can go from prototype to launch in days.

Now in public beta on the Claude Platform.
Shipping a production agent meant months of infrastructure work first.

Managed Agents handles that for you. Define your agent's tasks, tools, and guardrails, and we run it on our infrastructure.

Here's what early customers have built: Image
@NotionHQ lets teams delegate work to Claude directly inside their workspace. Dozens of tasks run in parallel, and whole teams collaborate on the outputs. Available now in private alpha:

Computer use is now in Claude Code.

Claude can open your apps, click through your UI, and test what it built, right from the CLI.

Now in research preview on Pro and Max plans.
In one prompt, Claude can write the code, compile it, launch the app, click through it, find the bug, fix it, and verify the fix.
It works on anything you can open on your Mac: a compiled SwiftUI app, a local Electron build, or a GUI tool that doesn't have a CLI.

You can now enable Claude to use your computer to complete tasks.

It opens your apps, navigates your browser, fills in spreadsheets—anything you'd do sitting at your desk.

Research preview in Claude Cowork and Claude Code, macOS only.
Claude uses your connected apps first: Slack, Calendar, and other integrations.

When there's no connector for the tool you need, it asks for your permission to open the app on your screen directly. Two dialog boxes showing Claude requesting permission to use specific apps like Finder and Google Chrome, with options to deny or allow for the session.
Assign a task from your phone, turn your attention to something else, and come back to finished work on your computer.

Tell Claude once to scan your email every morning or pull a report every Friday, and it handles it from there. A phone showing a Dispatch conversation where a user assigns Claude a task, alongside a desktop running the dev server and browser to complete it.
