🚨The results of the 2025 Turning Point Action America Fest Straw Poll are in. Thread.
Vice President JD Vance won the 2028 nomination straw poll in a landslide, garnering a MASSIVE 84.2% of support, followed by Sec. Marco Rubio (4.8%), and Ron DeSantis (2.9%).
We also asked about President Trump's cabinet, and they remain broadly popular with the base.
The top three most popular cabinet secretaries are Sec. Pete Hegseth (83.3% strongly approve), Sec. RFJ Jr. (80.3% strongly approve), and Sec. Marco Rubio (78.6% strongly approve).
We also polled attendees views on Israel. A clear majority view Israel as one ally of many (53.4%), about 1/3 of attendees see Israel as our top ally (33.3), while 13.3% do not view Israel as an ally at all.
We also asked if attendees would be in favor of an immigration moratorium?
Nearly 90% of attendees said yes. Truly an incredible result.
Asked about the top threats facing America, respondents ranked the top six issues as:
Asked what the Trump administration's top accomplishments are so far and two answers stand out far above all the others:
1) Securing the border 2) Mass deportations
Finally, asked what conservatives should be most focused in going into 2026, and "winning the midterms" dominated above every other answer (63.9%), followed by voter integrity / voter ID (9.3% and affordability (8.1%).
It's also worth nothing that this straw poll received the largest number of responses of any strawpoll in our organization's history, representating a statistically significant response rate. It's also the youngest average age of a respondent from any AmFest, ever.
A HUGE shoutout to @Peoples_Pundit for conducting this poll on behalf of @TPAction_
I believe there are some truly important results here that will help the base find the dominant center of where the grassroots movement is ahead of 2026.

Republicans seem poised to win the midterm popular vote significantly while barely flipping any seats. The issue wasn’t messaging, the issue was machinery. New York and Florida are the two states where the most flips happened because of favorable maps.
While I’m no fan of early voting—it favors low agency voters—Florida proves you can have EVs while maintaining voter integrity. Shorten the windows, cut it off a week or two before ED and allow tabulators to run those ballots ahead of time.
The main issue is ballot harvesting and no-excuse universal mail in ballots. Republicans need to spend big cultivating harvesting operations in key districts across the country where it’s legal until they have enough power to outlaw it, along with no-excuse mail ins.
