A complete comprehensive color-correction for the entire series, including shot-by-shot white balancing of every single episode, global hue shifts, skin tone fixes, de-bleaching, and more.

This release contains all previous fixes to include IVTC, decimation, PAR correction, chromatic aberration reduction, chroma noise reduction, chroma placement adjustment, blocking treatment, and grain retention.

Audio
Updated Japanese Broadcast Audio is sourced from Team-Mirolo's v7 release, with some tracks sourced from updated recordings provided directly from Kei17 in 2025.
Both Remastered FUNi dubs are retained as-is from our previous release, with minor patches.

The Saban/Ocean Dub is an edited dub of the first part of the series. The entire track has been updated with the FUNi track to fill gaps.
The Original FUNi Dub track has been re-done with elements from the singles DVDs , TV, and VHS recordings to present this original version.

Subtitles
Our subtitles are better than ever with retimed lines, updated translations, and improved consistency. Pick the style that you like and enjoy.

Extras
This release includes extra such as the Dragon Books, promotional material, and NCOPs/NCEDs. None of these extras had video or audio editing done by us.

We talked about our projects, but what about some other groups we've worked with that make high-quality releases? Not all of them have a social media presence, so you'll have to do some searching.

First there's @DragonBallDubs. They use our audio and footage and add TONS of additional dubs and subtitles. Look, we can't even fit all the audio tracks in a screenshot! Their current work includes a few of the movies and specials.

If you're looking for the shows in Spanish (LATAM and España) you'll want to look for A&C. They've already synced Spanish audio and subs to the entirety of our DB and DBGT CC footage, with DBZ to follow. They even have a version of Super w/ English and Spanish.

What are these images you'll find online? They're "promotional images" or "promo images" for short. While they may look nice, artists and color correctors striving for accuracy should avoid these as references, and here's why... 🧵

First, you may think these promo images are untouched pictures of the original animation cels. Promo images often look too "clean" and bright compared to the source material. Here are some examples to help differentiate.

These promo images appeared online years after the series aired. They are made to promote the series, serving as advertisements and video thumbnails. Unfortunately, they prioritize being eye catching instead of being accurate, tending to be a bit revisionist.

After a recent post, we realized we've never really talked about the sources we're using for the #DragonBall and #DBZ movies. Everyone knows we used the Dragon Boxes for the show, but for the movies it's a little more complicated...

In 2018 all classic Dragon Ball films and specials were once again rescanned and cleaned for their re-release in HD. Unlike anything FUNi has done, the scan was done competently and all the movies have far more detail than in any previous release.

The movies were first released on streaming services (Amazon was available). These versions of the films retain grain, however suffer from the standard issues with streaming sources, such as low bitrate, sometimes crushed details, and Amazon's H.264 encoders having built-in DNR.
