For those who are unaware: want a sign that the Trump Administration is doing the right thing by sanctioning a major proponent of the censorship industrial complex, Imran Ahmed?
Just take a look at a few of the lawyers representing him in a lawsuit against the Trump Administration...
🧵
Robbie Kaplan = represented E. Jean Carroll in the infamous lawfare litigation against President Trump, where New York passed a special law just to extend the statute of limitations.
Funded by Reid Hoffman, of course.
Norm Eisen. Need I say more?
Hunter Biden's former lawyer:
Nothing odd about one of the leading proponents and advocates of censorship from the UK having this kind of representation in the United States, right?
Especially when the Biden White House relied on his "disinformation dozen" report to censor Americans...
/2 First thing to note: Stephen and Katie are dear friends of mine. They are loving parents. They are patriots.
So yes, I have strong personal feelings about this situation.
But what appears to be happening here should bother every American.
Why? Read on.
/3 According to public reporting, in April, a woman sent text messages to a WhatsApp group asserting that Stephen, "the evil fascist . . . had moved into Arlington."
She further said that she and a group were going to "make his life hell."
A single district court judge in DC wants to set aside hundreds of years of precedent, the Constitution, and the plain text of the law, to say that the United States cannot stop illegal aliens from flooding across the border.
In addition to relief under the APA, classwide relief to every human being on earth who might ever come to the United States illegally!
UNREAL.
The decision is stayed for 14 days to allow DOJ to appeal, but think about the shenanigans ongoing here.
- The Supreme Court just stopped nationwide injunctions on Friday. The district court probably re-wrote/tailored its decision to get around the Supreme Court's clear guidance
❗️JUDICIAL OVERREACH: Why are we seeing lawfare and rule by judicial decree, despite a resounding victory in the 2024 election by @realDonaldTrump?
More reasons than seconds in an hour—but here’s a big one:
A thread🧵
We have brought up generations of lawyers—conservative and liberal, but especially conservatives—who have became infatuated with the idea that becoming a federal judge or a Justice on the Supreme Court is the penultimate accomplishment of the best and brightest.
That idea— stemming from the ideological fallacy that Article III is somehow intellectually superior and more prestigious than Articles I and II—is incoherent, indefensible, and inconsistent with what the Founding Fathers understood.
That having a “record” is somehow a liability. That zealous advocacy for a client is somehow not honorable.
