Despite them not knowing what a Trump fan was but wanting to be liked by the teacher, they all raised their hands. Well, all except for little Timmy.

Sunday Thoughts continued.

The first ten amendments to the US Constitution (the Bill of Rights) were amendments that the States demanded in exchange for their support for the ratification of the Constitution in the late 1780s. 1/6

The Second Amendment was demanded by the rich slave owners of the southern states. These slave owners were terrified of slave uprisings and they wanted local militias at the ready to quell any uprisings. 2/6

But the very same rich slave owners were distrustful of poor whites, so the word “well regulated militias” were part of the Second Amendment to make sure that poor white people couldn’t just form their own militias. 3/6
