I believe #RobinGarbutt is GUILTY of murdering his wife Diana and the murder was pre-planned - the robbery and '2 robbers' was a lie. 1. Garbutt called 999 @ 8.37 am reporting a robbery. Garbutt claimed that the Robbery took place at 8.30am, and that the robbery occurred just
as the time-locked safe opened at 8:30 am; and that he had turned around to face a masked man (Robber one) who had a gun.
Garbutt stated in his 999 call that the masked robber had said, "Don’t do anything stupid. *We’ve* got your wife."
2. Garbutt told police in a recorded interview here: that despite the horror of being confronted with a robber with a gun and Robber 2 being upstairs with his wife Diana, "I know it sounds stupid but I was not really worried". #murderatthepostoffice
Garbutt said to police:
"Do yer know what. I knew straight away I was going to be robbed...I just knew it!
Cos obviously...he was...you know...
*BUT I WASN'T REALLY WORRIED.. you know".
3. So here in his very own words we have Garbutt telling police that despite a robber 'with a gun' confronting him and another robber upstairs with his wife Diana - who he claimed to love, that he was neither scared for himself and not scared for his wife's safety either!
4 . Following Robin's emergency call to 999 at 8.37 am - the paramedics arrived swiftly at 8.45am.
Upon arrival a paramedic noted straight away that rigor mortis had already set in. There was a massive amount of blood from Diana's brutal injuries.
The paramedic informed Garbutt his wife had been dead for some time.
5. Garbutt then challenged the paramedics telling these professionals who are trained in rigor mortis and see dead bodies all the time, that they were wrong about the 'rigor mortis'.
The robbers' arrived at 08.30 am and were gone before Robin Garbutt ran upstairs to his wife and then called 999 at 08.37 am. The paramedics arriving at 08.45 am.
Despite Garbutt insisting to paramedics that his wife Diana who he admitted 'had gone a funny colour' was still warm, the paramedic once again informed him that Diana had been 'down quite some time.'
6. So Garbett's story would have that the murder of Diana and the robbery had taken place in just a couple of minutes. The judge said that Robin Garbutt's story was ludicrous from start to finish.
7. INTERESTING FACTS: Garbutt's defence team commissioned a pathology report from a Dr. Cooper before his trial, but very strangely they decided not use that report at trial.
8. Garbutt's own defence also chose NOT to call their own pathologist to give any evidence. Neither did Garbutt's lawyers present the report from Dr Cooper, thereby, avoiding any direct challenge on the report or any points in cross-examination during Garbutt's trial.
9.Dr Stuart Hamilton explicitly stated Diana's death "could not have occurred immediately before the discovery of the body" and was most likely in the early hours of the morning. This supported the prosecution's case that the murder occurred well before the alleged armed robbery!
10. Only one autopsy was performed on Diana Garbutt, by Home Office pathologist Dr. Stuart Hamilton on 23 March 2010 (the day of discovery).
Garbutt's defence did not commission or pursue a second post-mortem examination either .
11. Could everything Robin Garbutt described really have taken place in the space of just few minutes from 08.35 am when the safe was opened to 08.37 am when Robin Garbutt made his 999 call; the robbery and the brutal murder of his wife Diana. I think not and the jury agreed!
12. The jury rejected Garbutt's unbelievable story of what really happened to his defenceless sleeping wife Diana that day and the jury found Robin Garbutt guilty of the vicious and cold bloodied, planned murder of his wife Diana and staging a fake robbery.
I would add that others think differently and are entitled to do so and some are campaigning for #RobinGarbutt, who claims to want a re-trial. I'm not convinced at all he really wants a re-trial based on his unbelievable story either!! Just a load of old bluff.
Additionally, having researched Diana Garbutt's murder and this particular case I believe Robin Garbutt guilty;
in other high profile cases I believe others have been wrongly convicted. I don't just blindly accept a crime such as this which pricked my interest, without research.
Robin Garbutt has unsuccessfully appealed his 2011 murder conviction once directly to the Court of Appeal (in 2012, when three judges ruled the conviction safe).
He made four applications to the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC), the body that investigates potential
miscarriages of justice and can refer cases back to the Court of Appeal: The first three CCRC applications were rejected (the third in 2022 but finding no real possibility of quashing the conviction).
The fourth application submitted is currently under active review by the CCRC.
I must credit an artist called Sean BW Parker who believe did the painting of Robin Garbutt in this thread.
At his trial the prosecution highlighted Garbutt's statement to police tht he "wasn't worried" during the armed robbery when he claimed a robber had said they hd his wife Diana & Garbutt's account was fabricated and inconsistent with genuine fear or concern for his wife's safety.
A 2012 appeal noted the jury rejected Garbutt's robbery story independently of financial evidence based on conclusive factors: Time of death/safe electronics showing the events Garbutt described couldn't have unfolded in the 79 seconds between the safe opening & his 999 call
The Key Inconsistencies in Robin Garbutt's story.
MURDER WEAPON: A rusty iron bar found on the wall near the post office. The bar was found 2 days after the murder on top of a boundary wall near a garage *opposite the post office/shop.*
The prosecution contended fleeing robbers wouldn't interrupt their getaway to leave it there.

The Key Inconsistencies in Robin Garbutt's farcical story.

#Femicide
The rusty bar (murder weapon). The prosecution said it was manifestly, implausible for fleeing robber/ to interrupt their getaway to calmly place the murder weapon on a high wall near the Post Office & in broad daylight.
No witness saw the robbers enter or leave the post office!
Garbutt told police in a recorded interview below, that despite the horror of being confronted with a robber with a gun and Robber 2 being upstairs with his wife Diana, "I know it sounds stupid but I was not really worried". Not even worried for his wife!
The court of appeal rejected Garbutt's utter clap trap: robbers whom no witness saw going into the post office or leaving, actually existed.
And despite Garbutt telling staff not to leave the door unlocked and use the panic buttons he did neither!! kntn.ly/d8d57ea4
The Court of Appeal (in the 2012 judgment, R v Garbutt [2012] and subsequent reviews by the Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) have consistently ruled that flaws in the Horizon system did not undermine the safety of Robin Garbutt's murder conviction.
"For the jurors to acquit him the appeal court said they would have to believe tht his wife was killed instantly & she raised no alarm & that Garbutt who said he was downstairs at the time heard nothing at all.
That they said was highly improbable." Reporter from court/Sky Docu.

Robin Garbutt murdered in wife Diana in cold blood.
The Court of Appeal completely rejected Garbutt's story that a robbery had taken place.
The three appeal judges explicitly stating the jury rejected 'the robbery' independent of the financial evidence. threadreaderapp.com/thread/2007165…x.com/UKinjustice202…
The jury, the judge and the Appeal Court rejected #RobinGarbett's ridiculous story that robbers murdered his wife Diana. The court of Appeal said the juries' verdict was clearly independent of the accounting records or any other financial evidence.
The robbery never took place!
Garbutt said to police: "Do yer know what. I knew straight away I was going to be robbed...I just knew it!
Cos obviously...he was...you know...
*BUT I WASN'T REALLY WORRIED...you know".
Not worried for his wife Diana! Garbutt's story is NOT credible.
More of #JudgeKemp's contrary findings. Kemp says Dr Upton's evidence is preferred because Dr Upton did not falsely claim Sandie Peggie was guilty of harassment. But ignores Dr Upton lied and falsely accused Sandie Peggie of abandoning a patient in resus. shorturl.at/LVoKj
Here J Kemp states Upton in testimony 'expected Peggie to undertake normal observations of a patient in resus', but then states in fact Sandie asked Dr U to do them. Upton didn't claim this at the time but later tried to make out Peggie had compromised patient safety. #JudgeKemp
Judge Kemp states Dr Upton did not in fact raise an issue of harassment by Sandie Peggie at tribunal. Again Kemp unbelievably prefers the evidence of Dr U even though he has lied. Peggie did not abandon a patient. Dr U changed his story under oath! Kemp declares "Some aspects of
Finally looked at the #SandiePeggie case & as someone who put a case together for an employee & read a lot of ET judgments- ast few yrs. I have NEVER, EVER read a judgment as blatantly biased as Judge Kemp's!😲 Kemp saying Upton was a reliable witness against the evidence heard.
Upton didn't inform anyone at the time (2023) of his 'allegation' against Sandie that Peggie had allegedly abandoned a patient in the resuscitation unit.
It was only raised in a formal complaint by Dr Upton’s solicitor on *June 11 2024* however, Sandie's lawyer said it was
so serious it wld have resulted in immediate suspension & gross misconduct. Critically Upton when questioned changed his story from saying Sandie deliberately abandoned a patient to she may have been called away for "something more* serious". Kemp glosses over this completely
