Today I learned I don't just have a mTBI. Apparently when you have a concussion that causes permanent anhidrosis- (the inability to sweat), it makes it a TBI. 😥
"A concussion causing permanent anhidrosis (inability to sweat) is a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), ...
...specifically often classified as a mild TBI (mTBI) initially, but the permanent deficit makes it a significant, long-term neurological issue that can be coded as a sequela of TBI. While concussions are the most common TBIs, the lasting symptom of anhidrosis, potentially...
... involving the hypothalamus or sympathetic nervous system, indicates brain dysfunction beyond typical resolution, moving it into the TBI category with long-term consequences. 😥

@glennbeck how does an American get a patient advocate? I have been dealing with a head injury that has caused anhidrosis-(lack of sweating) for over a year & a half. First I was sent to a Nurse Practitioner that I had to drive over an hour each way to go see, even though...
@glennbeck ...there was a neurologist in my area, & even though there was a long wait to see her, so speeding up my ability to see someone in the medical field didn't seem to be the reason I was sent to her. She seemed like she was doing triage on me & only offered anti-inflammatory...
@JeffLubell_C19 @scott_scientist I have anhidrosis caused by a brain injury & apparently mEDS - Myopathic EDS. I believe I am the parent who passed it down to my child because I have the symptoms, & my child tested positive for a mutation(s) on the Col12a1 gene, so if we saw a good geneticist that would ...
@JeffLubell_C19 @scott_scientist ...translate into mEDS, or BM1, or BM2, (Bethlem Myopathy), I forget which one of those it would be. Anyway I feel like my head injury not healing after a year & 6 months & causing anhidrosis could be because of contributory factors from EDS / mEDS. I feel like I could ...
@JeffLubell_C19 @scott_scientist ... have bad CFS flow. I think I may have a chiari malformation that got injured during my fall. I've been researching all of this since my injury. I finally recently found 6 doctors in my state that apparently have heard of my situation. Anyway I am wondering since I don't...
@scalpcooling I need your product so badly! I have a head injury that gets worse everytime I am exposed to heat! Is there anyway that you can help me! I think I have anhidrosis, (lack of sweating, except for stress sweat, or hypohidrosis (only partial sweating, and not enough). So ...
@scalpcooling ...everytime I overheat the numbness, tingling from my brain injury which is normally just in my scalp area, progresses to my lips, around my lips, my nose, my jawline, & more recently my teeth. I went to the hospital in June when I realized I had numbness & tingling in my ...
@scalpcooling ...head that I woke up with wasn't going away. I was diagnosed with post concussion syndrome. It got worse when it progressed to my face, so I went to the hospital again. My symptoms haven't changed, & I have to wear an ice bead pack on my head all the time, except for when I...
