Randa Abdel-Fattah has proven herself to be perhaps the most toxic individual in the Australian cultural scene right now.

After victimising the Jewish community everyday since October 7, she is now playing the victim and claiming "anti-Palestinian racism" ("Palestinian" is not a race).

Not only is she playing the victim, she's now weaponising the "free speech" argument. She and her cronies were NEVER in favour of free and open discussion, they're about bullying Zionists or anyone seen as Zionist-friendly until they back down.

Here's the true Randa, not the victim she wants you to see 🧵
1/ By 8 October, one day after Hamas terrorists committed their genocide, Randa changed her profile images to a Hamas paraglider—the same delivery method used by Hamas to infiltrate Israel and murder young people at the Nova music festival. Image
2/ On 13 October 2023, Randa told Sky News Australia’s Erin Molan: “I don’t see them [Hamas] as a terrorist organisation.” Despite Hamas being listed as such by Australia, the UK, the US, and many Arab states.
3/ There's no surprise she refuses to condemn Hamas, in 2021, Randa publicly appeared on a panel with Dr Basem Naim, Hamas’ Head of International Relations, years after Hamas had been designated a terrorist group under Australian law for suicide bombings, rocket attacks, and the deliberate targeting of civilians.Image
4/ In her Oct 13, 2023, Sky News interview with Erin Molan, Randa downplayed Hamas atrocities by falsely claiming reports of beheaded babies were “actually refuted by Israeli authorities” (no such refutation existed—Israeli officials and forensics later confirmed evidence of child mutilations and killings). She also dismissed a viral photo of a burnt baby as “exposed as AI intelligence” (true for that specific fake image, but real burned victims were documented).
5/ In the same Oct 13, 2023 Sky News interview, when Erin Molan played footage from the Oct 9 Sydney Opera House rally—where protesters clearly chanted “F—k the Jews” (verified by multiple media reports, eyewitness accounts, NSW Police statements, and video evidence)—Randa insisted: “I didn’t hear anything.”NSW Police later confirmed “F—k the Jews” was used (while clarifying a disputed chant was “Where’s the Jews?” not “Gas the Jews”).
6/ October 2023 ABC appearance, where she flat-out refuses to call Hamas a terrorist group, frames Oct 7 as “anti-colonial resistance,” and deflects questions about Israeli civilian victims by pivoting to Palestinian suffering. She posted this on her Instagram.
7/ She reposted a photo of Hamas terrorists invading Israel to murder and rape civilians with this description: Image
8/ Randa has consistently denied the trauma of Jews and Zionists after the October 7 genocide. Image
9/ Randa openly abuses Jews, saying "it's her duty to make Zionists uncomfortable." Image
Image
10/ Randa organised & spoke at a "family-friendly" kids' excursion to the USyd Gaza Solidarity Encampment. Billed as a space for children to find "agency", footage shows young kids (some as young as 5) leading chants via megaphone—including "intifada," "Israel is a terrorist state," and "from the river to the sea." Randa claps & encourages them. Looks like child abuse to me. x.com/SenSHenderson/…
11/ Feb 2024: Randa gleefully doxxed 600+ Australian Jewish creatives from a private WhatsApp group—sharing/leaking their names & details while calling them “Jewish Zionist Creatives.” Jewish victims faced death threats, workplace attacks, one family forced into hiding (even threats to a 5-year-old child), police probes & rushed new federal anti-doxxing laws.Image
12/ War-mongering: Randa calls for the elimination of Israel. Advocating the destruction of a UN-recognized state fuels hate and instability, not peace.

13/ Blood libel: Randa posted hysterical, unhinged claims of Israel "harvesting organs from dead Palestinians." This is a baseless revival of antisemitic blood libel with zero evidence of systematic killings for organs in Gaza. Image

14/ End. There's actually way too much insane trash to sort through. Ending it here.

One of my most vivid memories of a music festival is Australia Day, 2011. I was 16, surrounded by sweaty, chemically enhanced bodies in the Boiler Room at Sydney’s Big Day Out. Image
I’d taken the Greyhound two hours from Newcastle and blown most of my hard-earned waitress wages on a $200 ticket and a wildly impractical outfit that consisted of short shorts and a bikini top. I can still hear my dad’s voice, his typical humour ringing through: “Where’s the rest of that?”Image
Image
There I was, a teenager thrilled to be playing adult, with no parents, no teachers, just music, noise and freedom. Image

Met a guy who lives and works in Qatar, on The Pearl. I'd never met anyone who lived in Qatar before. It was fascinating to hear about the inner workings of this made-up country. He described it as a huge Ponzi scheme, where the government (the royal family) has created these fake public service jobs to provide work for the filthy rich, native Qataris (who are a minority of the population). As the population has gotten bigger, however, they've run out of jobs to give people.

There are only so many "Minister of Pavement" roles you can create. But Qataris can't go unemployed, so the government introduced quotas.

The problem is, Qataris are entitled and lazy, and demand huge salaries. A business gets far more bang for their buck hiring a foreigner. So to evade the quotas, businesses attend Qatari graduation ceremonies with goodie bags filled with new iPhones, laptops and luxury watches, and poach new graduates to sign on to be an "employee" for a lower salary, on the proviso that they DON'T work.
Btw, I call it a "made-up" country. This guy tells me that Qataris actually do have their own culture to some extent.

This guy I talked to is an Israeli with dual nationality, which he uses to work in Qatar (despite Qatar actually doing a lot of business with Israel, using their tech etc).

I asked him whether he had to hide the fact he was Jewish or Israeli-- he said yes, but he wasn't scared. It didn't seem to bother him. He said the most dyed-in-the-wool anti-semites were the British-Pakistani expats. Aside from them, no one seems to care that much about Israel or Jews. There is such a low crime rate because if you are even suspected of misbehaving the government will kick you out. So there are no raucous pro-Palestine rallies, but you do see a few Palestine flags around.

When I asked why the Qatari regime was so anti-Israel, he said that it wasn't such a deeply-held theological or political belief (like with the Iranian regime, for example). It was simply that Qatar saw siding with Iran in the power battle between Iran and the Saudis as the preferable choice, so they leaned in to the anti-Israel stuff.
He said that Qatar is in a state of decline and that he is looking to work in the UAE or Saudi (I can't remember which one), as these countries and economies are growing and liberalising.

Qatar, on the other hand, is getting stricter and even more mismanaged.

Hilariously, he told me that the gov recently sent out a decree that all the libraries there have to remove 3 things from their book collections:
1. images of the Israeli flag
2. ANY image of a rainbow (because of gay stuff, lol)
3. all images of pigs (lol).

He said it's backfired, because pictures of pigs are more scarce and therefore harder to instruct children not to eat it.
