W sobotę 10 stycznia 2026, 9-letnie siostry bliźniaczki bawiły się na częściowo zamarzniętym sztucznym zbiorniku w Kanale Bydgoskim. Kiedy w pewnym momencie załamał się pod nimi lód, na ratunek dziewczynkom ruszył z pomocą były ukraiński policjant Oleksandr Bołotow.
