For clarity, here are two pictures of the area. In the second, the red dot is where Paddock was, the arrow from him to the festival site, and the two stars are the land being discussed for development into a “British” themed casino & hotel

If you’d like to go slightly insane, here’s the view from the land discussed for development with Epstein- you can see Mandalay Bay through the two inexplicable pillars that seem to be there for no reason going back a decade

Not sure how far the Waldorf-Astoria British-themed development got before the shooting, but in the months after the shooting, the W-A team opted to forego the $2.6 billion investment and instead spend $214 million to buy the Mandarin Oriental Hotel from… “Dubai World”
