No clue about aerosol transmission: «Probably most important (thing) is to have you & your child wash their hands … either with alcohol-based sanitizers that are installed on walls & around the WR & the (ER), or just soap & water» Dr. Rubin, peds Montreal Children’s Hospital
«Rubin added that staying far away from people who are coughing can also help, though isn’t always possible when a facility is busy.» Dr. Rubin, peds ID, Montreal Children’s
Shows no clue about airborne transmission. Distance isn’t enough if you spend hours in packed ER WR.
«While it might seem like WRs are hotbeds for catching viruses since so many sick people are concentrated in one place, that isn’t necessarily the case, Rubin said, mainly because it’s a setting where there are infection prevention protocols.»

«analogy offered by Prof. Finkel, that surgical masks are to respirators what typewriters are to computers, isn’t rhetorical excess. It’s an argument that continued use of outdated protective tech. in hi risk medical environments may soon be viewed as institutional malpractice.»
«Indeed, regulators rarely wait for randomised trials before mandating protective equipment. No such trials were required to compel seat belts, hard hats or asbestos removal.
If the WHO updates its guidelines, litigation will follow.»
