EXCLUSIVE - Our deep dive into the Tumbler Ridge mass shooter's online footprint revealed a familiar radicalization pathway.
18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar killed 6 kids aged 11-13 along with a teacher and his own mother before taking his own life.
There are a lot of unaswered questions - the biggest being Jesse's motivations for targeting that specific school. But there are a few key details we can glean from his online footprint.
Cont. in 🧵
1. No known connection to 764 or O9A
An individual connected to the 764 "edgesphere" created a hoax account pretending to be Jesse with the same name as his YouTube channel.
The hoax account was suspended and the individual later boasted on another account about the hoax, which successfully fooled some large accounts into sharing it as evidence of connection to 764/O9A.
We see these types of hoaxes after every shooting, committed by the same threat actors in an attempt to get attention.
The false connection to satanic communities is a relatively new phenomenon. Years ago, when I first discovered the connection between satanic accelerationism and mass shootings, groups like O9A and 764 were unknown to the public.
Now they are basically household names, yet still too fringe and esoteric for the public to really understand. It's not surprising that people leap to attribute every modern mass shooting to these groups, even when they are not.
2. The shooter had a mass shooting simulator game on Roblox
As shared by @RealSchlep and @realRubenSim, the shooter had a Roblox account he used to create a "mall shooting simulator" game.
Games like this are frequently created and played by people associated with the “TCC” community. TCC is an online group that glorifies and even sexualizes former mass killers. TCC involvement has been implicated in the vast majority of recent mass shootings.
Shooters influenced by TCC usually have a nihilistic/misanthropic motive along with an explicit desire to achieve notoriety by signaling their attacks online, writing manifestos, picking soft targets and focusing on kill count (“high score”).
3. The shooter researched Samantha Rupnow in the months leading up to his attack.
On the gore website WatchPeopleDie, Jesse viewed a profile belonging to Samantha Rupnow ("Crossixir") 2 months ago. Rupnow was a 764-linked biological female who committed a mass shooting in Madison, WI in December of 2024.
Very few mass shootings are committed by females. As a result, Rupnow spawned legions of copycats and fans who worship and emulate her, and she became one of the most well-known names in the TCC community.
The shooter's interest in Rupnow, combined with his other online activity, indicates he was interested in the TCC community and was likely planning his attack for at least 2 months.
4. The shooter identified as a transgender "lesbian"
Jesse Van Rootselaar began medically transitioning to female at age 12 with the approval of his mom.
By 18, Jesse identified as a male-to-female transgender and was ingesting a dangerous cocktail of hormones, psychiatric medications, and illegal drugs, including hallucinogens.
Jesse used the chatting feature on WPD to chat with other gore-curious individuals. 5 months ago, Jesse chatted with another user about being trans, identifying himself as a lesbian before inviting the other user to add him on Discord.
Jesse's Discord footprint is still murky.
5. Takeaways
Jesse Van Rootselaar was a troubled teen whose online footprint indicate a familiar online radicalization pathway. While not formally connected to O9A/764, he likely rubbed shoulders with members of the NVE threat landscape and was probably motivated by misanthropy and influenced by adjacent online communities like TCC.
The elephant in the room:
There is an increasing incidence of violent acts committed by online radicalized transgenders. (As a disclaimer, I would never advocate for hate or discrimination against a group of people, and I believe that the majority of people identifying as transgender are nonviolent.)
Gender confused kids and young adults are overrepresented in dangerous online communities. They often struggle with societal ostracization, isolation, insecurity and identity instability which makes them prime candidates for groomers. HRT combined with psychiatric medications can potentially increase the risk for emotional instability in teens.
Transgender youth are also popular targets for online groomers because of the political controversy associated with transgender mass shooters.
One of the basic concepts of accelerationism is to stage an attack in such a way that it causes political infighting. Several years ago, accelerationists favored white supremacist mass shootings. Today, they get more of a rise out of the public, and thus more bang for their buck, with transgenderism.

I get it, I should let it go. But here's the thing - What happened to me was so much worse than just having a podcast appearance canceled, and it revealed a TON about what goes on behind the scenes of your favorite major podcasts.
I was truly an innocent bystander in this whole mess. I genuinely welcomed the opportunity to go on the Shawn Ryan Show to educate the public and warn them about the 764 child predator network that is extorting our kids and even turning them into terrorists.
When Shawn's producer, Jeremy, texted me to cancel (2 days before I was set to arrive), I was disappointed, but I thought it was just a postponement and had no reason to be suspicious.
It wasn't until Kyle Seraphin began baselessly attacking my character, calling me a whore and a grifter and alleging that 764 wasn't even real, that I knew something was up. I barely even knew who Kyle was when this happened. It was completely unprovoked.
I still wouldn't have figured it out if Kyle hadn't bragged to people about how he lied to Shawn's producer to get them to cancel my show. He also DMd me and threatened to continue to censor me. And it only got worse from there.
Several other people teamed up with Kyle to smear my character, harass me, threaten me, dox me, and even try to get me fired from my real life job, all because I was scheduled to go on Shawn's show to talk about 764.
Kyle repeatedly told me he knew where I lived and that he lived nearby. He accused me of child abuse and threatened to get me investigated by CPS. Then he accused me of having illegal content on my computer and threatened to get me investigated by the FBI (like, what??)
We even caught him and his friends talking to 764 pedophiles while trying to dig up dirt on me!! They shared fake images of a pornographic OnlyFans page and claimed it was mine. No, I'm not kidding!!!
Meanwhile, Shawn Ryan didn't even respond when the controversy (rightfully) blew up. Instead, he unfollowed me on X and later blocked me. He should have had the integrity to apologize for the nightmare I faced, all because I was scheduled to appear on his show.
Now he has the audacity to put out a video about 764 while pretending to have just learned about it (shock! anger! performatively banging fists on table!).
The truth is that Shawn knew about the 764 network almost a year ago, back when very few people did. He watched silently as his friends tried to threaten and censor me into silence. Shawn was complicit in covering up 764 and silencing the biggest voice in the space.
This place is not real, friends. Some of your favorites are bad actors (literally and figuratively). It's a hard lesson to learn, and I learned it in the ugliest way possible.
Learn from my mistakes - When someone tells you who they are... Believe them.
Receipts in 🧵
I've never shared this before. Here is the email I sent to Shawn Ryan's scheduler. I was distraught and confused, and even scared about what was happening. They also resisted refunding me the money I spent on the trip. It wasn't until after this whole thing blew up that they finally agreed to refund it.
Then I requested that they give the refund to a charity that helps child victims of online abuse, and they declined to do so. I sent half of the refund they eventually gave me to SOSA (a charity).
In my email, I told them I wanted to work it out with them behind the scenes rather than make it public, but they never responded, and the situation eventually went public anyways thanks to Kyle's big mouth.
Kyle admitted to everything in a voice msg to our mutual friend. Hearing this should have inspired Shawn Ryan to reach out and make amends. To not respond to such alarming claims - That his show is being secretly gate-kept by a former FBI agent - is scary.
BIG UPDATE - The DOJ has officially brought terrorism charges against a member of the 764 network for the first time.
21-year-old Baron Martin aka "Convict" from Arizona has been indicted on 29 FELONY COUNTS including sexual exploitation of children, cyberstalking, animal crushing, conspiracy to commit murder, wire fraud, and providing material support to terrorists.
Believe it or not, there are still quite a few people out there attempting to diminish the seriousness and sheer depravity of this network. Terrorism charges are a good first start!
I'm going to include some screenshots from Martin's 39 page indictment in the thread, because I think it's important parents understand what we are up against here.
(TRIGGER WARNING! Please consider not reading the thread if you are sensitive to child and animal abuse discussion.) 🧵
Martin allegedly authored a manual and distributed it to other 764 members to teach then how to groom, psychologically manipulate and extort child victims. He taught to target children online with pre-existing eating disorders and tendencies to self harm.
In addition to exploiting pre-existing vulnerabilities, Martin allegedly taught other 764 members to use grooming tactics like degrading children, exposing them to gore, child pornography, and animal abuse content to desensitize them to extreme and violent acts, and encouraging them to harm themselves and others - escalating to killing themselves. Most of this activity occurs on Discord or Telegram (platforms your kids should NOT have access to).
So apparently there’s this rapper called D4vd and police found the dismembered body of a 15-year-old girl who’s been missing for 2 years IN HIS TRUNK and instead of being held in jail he’s touring and crashing out on X while police “investigate”? Do- do I have that right?
AND he wrote a song with the victim’s name - Celeste - as a title AND they found a “Shhhh” tattoo on her hand that matches his own tattoo AND people are saying they were together since she was 11 (he’s 20)?????
Ok I just read they canceled his tour, but why isn’t he IN JAIL? wtf
I'm very happy to see the 764 child exploitation network making headline news again. Please watch and share this video about how I stumbled upon this group in 2023 and what I uncovered. Every parent in the world needs to know about 764 and how they can protect their kids.

Trying this again: The 16-year-old school shooter in Colorado was radicalized by a variety of harmful online groups like 764, NLM, and TCC (mass shooting fan club). He was obsessed with previous mass shooters like Samantha Rupnow and followed a lot of accounts connected to the Satanic cult Order of Nine Angles/Tempel ov Blood.
Check the thread for links explaining what all these things mean.
Watch my 5 part video series about Satanic Accelerationism:
My latest article explores recent trends in mass shootings and reveals some startling facts. Of the 5 most recent school shootings which met the FBI definition of mass shooting:
· 5 out of 5 shooters were associated with online NVE groups like 764, NLM, MKY or TCC (all parts of "Com").
· 4 out of 5 shooters were under the age of 18.
· 4 out of 5 shooters obtained their guns illegally.
· 2 out of 5 shooters were explicitly associated with the LGBTQ+ movement.
· 1 out of 5 shooters were transgender.
These facts paint a very clear and very concerning picture - American youth are being radicalized into committing acts of terror against their peers within harmful online communities.
Politicized gun bans would not have prevented 4 out of 5 of these shootings, which were committed by minors with stolen guns. So, how can we prevent mass shootings without compromising our rights?(cont.)
1. Educating the public
This is the easiest and most effective way to prevent mass shootings, in my opinion.
4 out of the 5 school shooters examined in this article were between the ages of 14 and 17, and they each had two very preventable things in common which led to tragedy - Unsupervised internet access and unsecured firearms.
This is my number one goal every time I do a podcast on this topic.
2. Pressuring platforms to crack down on harmful online groups
Platforms like Discord, Telegram, X and Roblox are favorites for bad actors to find and groom vulnerable youth, and they consistently fail to take sufficient action to stunt their growth.
Platform complicity opens the door for government regulation such as with the UK Online Safety Act. Such government regulations are smokescreens that claim to protect kids while compromising user privacy and setting the stage for sweeping AI surveillance and digital IDs.
Public backlash has the potential to work even better than government regulation, and without the risks. This is how we were able to pressure Roblox into improving their platform last month.
