Cornyn equated January 6 to 9/11 as a “failure of imagination.” He labeled them “white supremacists, domestic terrorists, insurrectionists, rioters, seditionists, anarchists” — then floated new federal laws to charge them as domestic terrorists. As Sarukhan mocked Trump’s border wall and attacked it, Cornyn thanked him, called Trump “crazy,” and dismissed walls as “naive” — saying people will just go over, under, or through them. He undermined Trump’s core promise while the border was invaded. Pure betrayal.
