Madhu Kishwar (born 1951 in Delhi) comes from a Partition refugee family. Father’s side from Lahore, Mother’s from Peshawar & Rawalpindi districts. Her maternal family was in Srinagar during the 1947 tribal invasion and airlifted to a Delhi refugee camp.

Kishwar is a seasoned academic, JNU M.Phil, taught as lecturer at Delhi University’s Satyawati College for years, later Professor/Senior Fellow at CSDS till 2016.
She strongly praised Modi pre-2014: Called him able administrator,who changed Gujarat’s face, Simply brilliant on diplomacy, and one of the most able and gifted sons of Bharat Ma.
