...For decades, U.S. politicians followed the model of the "loyal opposition" in times of war. Of course, when John Hobhouse used that term in 1826, he could hardly imagine the likes of Chris Murphy applauding alleged Iranian propaganda.

...He seems to accept as true the contested Iranian claim as consistent with his claim that Trump "badly misjudged Iran’s ability to retaliate." Even if Murphy has adopted a high school persona, he might be better off with the tried and true "whatever" or "J/K" next time.
