We’re introducing the Cursor SDK so you can build agents with the same runtime, harness, and models that power Cursor.

Run agents from CI/CD pipelines, create automations for end-to-end workflows, or embed agents directly inside your products.

With the Cursor SDK, you can run agents locally or deploy them in our cloud.

We've open-sourced a few starter projects for you to build on: a coding agent CLI, a prototyping tool, and an agent-powered kanban board.

Customers like Rippling, Notion, C3 AI, and Faire are using the Cursor SDK to build custom background agents, take bugs from ticket to merge-ready PR, and maintain self-healing codebases.

Composer 2 is now available in Cursor.

It's frontier-level at coding, priced at:

- Standard: $0.50/M input and $2.50/M output
- Fast: $1.50/M input and $7.50/M output

We were able to significantly improve the model quality and cost to serve.

These quality improvements come from our first continued pretraining run, providing a far stronger base to scale our reinforcement learning.

Cursor can now make to-do lists, search PRs, and queue messages. We’ve also made Tab much faster.

Agents now plan ahead with structured to-do lists, making long-horizon tasks easier to understand and track.

You can queue follow-up messages for Agent once it’s done with the current task.

Spin off dozens of agents and review them later in your editor.

Just type in a task and the agent will get to work.

When it’s done, you can review the code or make direct edits inside of Cursor. Or, if it’s ready to ship, you can merge PRs directly from the web.
