'Back to normal' AKA back to 2019 is a fantasy. You can't go back to something that doesn't exist anymore. You can do all the 2019 things for a premium price that will cost you financially and risk your health. I'm so sorry and so angry we can't go back to 2019.
I wanted a BETTER 'normal', I wanted a post covid world with more empathy and care for disabled and chronically ill people. I wanted affordable food and housing for the most people possible. I wanted safe and affordable healthcare for all.
We chose not to care. We turned our backs on empathy for the most vulnerable, and this is the price. Everything costs more and most people get sick more often. It's a hard world... AND...
As wintery weather descends in Australia this week, know you can choose to avoid getting ill so often/at all by wearing a respirator mask and using HEPA filters. It's not hard if we all pitch in. I chose to believe more people will learn the science as the years roll on.
Masking is a simple act and SO comfortable and cosy in winter. 😊 Beanie, Oodie, fluffy socks, and mask is a solid combo. Do yourself a favour by staying well, keeping others well, and staying toasty warm. #maskup #covid #disability
