Nikita’s latest statements actually put an end to this debate.
If you truly want to become a real content creator, there’s only one option: quotes.
So when should you use retweets?
Let’s get into it 👇 (Thread)
Thread 1
With Nikita’s recent statements and the platform being rebuilt to protect real content creators, retweet impressions now mostly go only to the original creator.
So why should you still repost content?
For positioning.
When you’re busy or unable to create a new post, retweeting helps you avoid losing momentum, shows that your account is still active, and helps the algorithm continue positioning your profile.
Thread 2
Quotes work a little differently. Let me explain it like this;
If you quote a post and only add a simple sentence without bringing any value, most of the impressions will still go to the original creator.
But if you add your own perspective and create a different angle, the impressions, engagement, and honestly the money, start coming to you 😅
Quoting is one of the most important tools for a content creator.
Because the topic already exists and you’re building extra value on top of it.
You’ve probably seen quote posts with millions of impressions.
Thread 3
The most important part is this: both retweets and quotes send a “new post activity” signal to the algorithm.
If you already shared your main post, never do these before its engagement and distribution slow down.
Otherwise, you end up killing your own distribution.
If you read this far, don’t forget to save it for support and for the continuation of this post series.
Much love 🍁

Let’s explain the core point of growing a niche account with a simple example.
Rule #1: Learn how to read thread chains quickly. X is a reading platform. If you can’t read other people’s content, people won’t read yours either 👇 (thread 3)
Thread 1/3
If you noticed, when you share a post, your post usually brings around a maximum of 30 profile visits.
Around 20% of those profile visitors will follow you. The rest will just look and leave. Those 6 followers coming from your post (30 × 20% = 6) are the people who will actually enjoy your content.
(Thread 2/3)
If we assume you post a maximum of 6 times a day, that becomes 6 × 6 = 36 niche followers per day. (I’m excluding farming accounts from this.)
It’s not a huge number, but with replies you can attract unlimited followers. During the first month of my account, I was getting around 700 profile visits per day and 300–400 people were following.
Because I always cared about the quality of my content.
