Can you Adam n Eve it? 30 years on from the Bermuda Triangle debacle, misfortune hits the #NornIron squad once again shortly after their arrival in France for Euro 2016...
... the #NornIron team coach is hijacked by French farmers after the Executive refused to serve frogs legs in the Stormont cafeteria, and the team held hostage...
... the Irish FA's offer a 50 Franc note that is found down the back of the sofa as way of a ransom is refused, so instead they're on the phone to UEFA to gain permission to select a new squad of 23 ...
1. GK. Lee Camp (Rotherham United) 9 caps. Last capped in 2012 before he huffed off after not being guaranteed a starting place. A sure start at the Euros should convince him to return.
2. DF. Michael Smith (Peterborough United) 1 cap. Capped for the first time in a recent friendly against Slovenia, he was named in the initial 28-man panel but missed out.
3. DF. Daniel Lafferty (Burnley) 13 caps. Another member of the initial 28, Lafferty's lack of recent club games for Burnley likely cost him a place in the final squad.
4. DF. Michael Duff (Burnley) 24 caps. A key member of the Burnley team that just claimed the Championship title, he had announced his retirement. Capable in the centre or right of defence, the 38 year-old should relish the Euros as a last harrah!
5. DF. Adam Thompson (Southend United) 2 caps. A former captain of #NornIron's under-21 team, Thompson's only caps were won as a novice during the 2011 Carling Cup, and he was sent-off in a heavy defeat by the Republic of Ireland. Now a very experienced lower-league centre-back.
6. DF/MD. Alex Bruce (Hull City) 2 caps. A modern-day dual international, having been capped twice by the Republic of Ireland prior to switching to #NornIron. Capable in defence or midfield, he should fill in the Chris Baird role.
7. MD. Ben Reeves (MK Dons) 2 caps. Creative midfielder who has been highly thought of by Michael O'Neill. Has struggled with injuries but made the initial squad of 28.
8. MD. Matty Lund (Rochdale) uncapped. Another former under-21 international, he has impressed in recent seasons in League One Rochdale's midfield. Yet to make it beyond the bench for the senior #NornIron international team.
9. FW. Billy McKay (Wigan Athletic) 11 caps. A squad regular in recent years, McKay has yet to find the net for #NornIron. Has struggled for game time since joining Wigan a year-and-a-half ago, but refound his form while on loan to Dundee United and made the initial 28.
10. FW. Liam Boyce (Ross County) 7 caps. Another squad regular over the past few years, his place in the final squad went to Will Grigg. A prolific scorer in the SPFL Premiership, he previously starred for Cliftonville and played briefly in Germany. Yet to notch a #NornIron goal.
11. Carl Winchester (Oldham Athletic) 1 cap. Another who gained his only previous senior #NornIron experience as a youngster in the 2011 Carling Cup, he is a versatile player, capable across midfield or at right-back.
12. GK. Jonny Tuffey (Glenavon) 8 caps. A squad regular under ex-boss Nigel Worthington, Tuffey has had difficult spells with Inverness, St Johnstone and Linfield since his last cap in 2011, though is in good form with Glenavon and will bring experience to the squad.
13. MD. Michael O'Connor (Port Vale) 11 caps. An experienced but nomadic lower-league midfielder, O'Connor has had a difficult relationship with international football. But the chance to travel to France should ease his troubles!
14. MD/DF. Liam Donnelly (Fulham) 1 cap. Another versatile player, capable in midfield or defence, Donnelly won his only cap to date in the 2014 South American tour. Just released by Fulham without playing a game, he did play on loan for Crawley last season.
15. DF. Rory McArdle (Bradford City) 7 caps. Another vastly experienced and versatile defender, McArdle has played at left-back and centre-back across the lower leagues and in Scotland. Enjoying the best form of his career with League One Bradford, but uncapped for 2 years.
16. MD. Paul Paton (Dundee United) 2 caps. A combative Scottish-born midfielder who has been on the periphery of the #NornIron squad over the past few years. Won his most recent cap in the March friendly against Wales.
17. DF. Ryan McGivern (Port Vale) 23caps. Formerly a squad regular at left-back, McGivern played twice in qualification, but lost his place due to indifferent club form. Released by Port Vale at the end of the season.
18. DF/MD. Robbie Weir (Burton Albion) uncapped. A former #NornIron youth, under-21 and B cap, Weir hasn't yet been given a chance at senior level despite regular game time in midfield and defence for League One Burton.
19. FW. Billy Kee (Accrington Stanley) uncapped. A regular scorer in League Two, Kee has won under-21 caps and was first called into the senior squad back in 2009 but remains uncapped.
20. FW. Caolan Lavery (Sheffield Wednesday) uncapped. An occasional squad member over recent years, Lavery remains uncapped beyond under-21 level. Previously he won under-17 caps for Canada, the country of his birth. Played on loan for Portsmouth last season.
21. MD. Josh Carson (York City) 4 caps. Last capped back in 2012 while a young wing starlet at Ipswich. Has since played in League Two with York City, previously under ex-#NornIron boss, Nigel Worthington.
22. FW. Josh McQuoid (Luton Town) 5 caps. Enjoyed a goalscoring purple-patch with Bournemouth at the start of the decade, which earned him his 5 caps and a big-money move to Millwall. Now largely playing on the wing for Luton in League Two.
23. GK. Trevor Carson (Hartlepool United) uncapped. Another former under-21 and B cap, first called up to the senior #NornIron squad back in 2010, but still awaits his first cap. Currently with League Two Hartlepool, his list of ex-clubs includes Sunderland, Bury and Cheltenham.
So who would you have selected given injuries to the likes of Chris Brunt, Ryan McLaughlin, Callum Morris, James McPake? #GAWA #NornIron

The #NornIron's team flight to Mexico for the 1986 World Cup disappears through that wormhole over the Bermuda Triangle. So, we're on the phone to FIFA again for dispensation to replace the squad (don't worry, the original team all re-appear through a plot hole two weeks later)..
Wigan manager Bryan Hamilton, working as a pundit for ITV, ditches the shiny suit to step in as boss. He is assisted by captain and BBC pundit Martin O'Neill, who has only recently been beaten in his long fight against injury, so missing the tournament. Which 22 will they pick?
1. GK. George Dunlop (Linfield) 1 cap. Selected for Spain 82, he won his only cap against Israel in 1984 but surprisingly missed out on the squad this time. The only viable option as starting number 1!
Step with me, if you will, through a worm-hole, back to 1982. #NornIron have qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 24 years, but misfortune hits on the Airplane flight...

The entire squad eats the fish, contracting food poisoning and are ruled out for the duration of the tournament. Danny Blanchflower, in Spain reporting for the Express newspaper, agrees to step in as temporary #NornIron manager, just three years after leaving the post.
Frantic phone calls to Joao Havelange in Zurich allowed Blanchflower to select a replacement 22 man squad, allowing selections beyond the provisional 40-man panel Billy Bingham had selected. So who are the new #GAWA 22?
