Islam says that masturbation steals something money can never buy back.

Most people never make the connection. You pray. You work. You make du’a.

But sometimes it feels like something is holding you back. In private, there may be a habit you think is harmless: Masturbation.
You tell yourself:

It’s only affecting me.
It’s private.
It’s not hurting anyone.
I’ll stop when I’m ready.

That’s what Shaytan wants you to believe.

But every sin leaves a trace on the heart.

And what affects the heart eventually affects everything else.
The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a servant commits a sin, a black spot appears on his heart.” (Tirmidhi)

Invisible. But real.

And unlike money, once your heart becomes stained, no amount of wealth can buy back the peace, clarity, and closeness to Allah that sin takes away.
Over time, you may notice the effects:

• Salah feels empty.
• Du’as feel distant.
• Motivation fades quickly.
• Your heart feels heavy.

You look for answers everywhere.

But external solutions cannot fix an internal problem.
Then comes the realization:

The biggest obstacle may not be bad luck.

It may not be other people.
It may not be a lack of opportunities.
It may not be your circumstances.

It may be the sins you keep returning to.
As Allah says:

“Whatever misfortune befalls you is because of what your own hands have earned…” (Qur’an 42:30)

One day, you sit alone.

You admit your weakness.
You turn back to Allah.
You make sincere tawbah.
The Prophet ﷺ said:

“All the children of Adam sin, and the best of sinners are those who repent.” (Tirmidhi)

You are not hopeless.
You are not beyond mercy.
You just need to return.
So start making changes:

• Make wudhu when temptation comes
• Fast as much as you can
• Keep your phone out of your bedroom at night
• Replace empty scrolling with Qur’an and dhikr

Not perfection.
Direction.

With time, your Salah feels different.
Your heart feels lighter.
And you begin to understand:

Masturbation isn’t just a private sin.
It affects the heart.

And tawbah isn’t just forgiveness.
It’s a return to Allah.

Start today.
Make sincere tawbah.
Identify your triggers.
Cut off access before temptation arrives.
And ask Allah for strength.

Because if a sin steals your connection with Allah, no amount of money can buy it back.

Don’t let one habit stand between you and the closeness to Allah that you’re seeking.

After your funeral… Image
One Hour after your Funeral…

The prayer over you has ended, and footsteps slowly fade as your loved ones walk away. You lie alone now, wrapped in your shroud, with nothing from this life but your deeds. The life you once knew has ended, and what you sent ahead is all that remains. In this quiet moment, you realize the reality of this world was never meant to last.
1 Day after your Funeral...

Your family is mourning, adjusting to life without you. They remember your words, your laughter, and your kindness - but for you, that world is gone. You are now in a place where status, wealth, and reputation hold no value, and the only currency is your sincerity and the deeds you carried out for Allah's sake.

When Umar al-Khattab RA was walking in the market, he passed by a man who was supplicating:

اللهم اجعلني من القليل اللهم اجعلني من القليل

“O Allah, make me from the few!
O Allah make me from the few!”

So Umar RA said to him: Where did you get this dua from? The man said:
“Allah in His Book says:
“And a few of My servants are grateful.”

So Umar wept and admonished himself; “The people are more knowledgeable than you, O Umar! O Allah make us from Your few servants.”
Sometimes when you advise someone to leave a sin, they respond with “But everybody does it, it’s not just me!”

If you watch p*rn, don’t expect Allah to put barakah in your time, energy, and discipline.

Here are 5 things your nafs is silently stealing from you:
1. Your focus.

The nafs ammara doesn’t need much. One relapse. One night.

And suddenly you can’t stay on one task.

You open your laptop… but you’re on your phone, switching tabs, finishing nothing.

That’s not laziness. It’s the nafs still in control.

And the scary part? You don’t even notice it.
2. Your energy.

After a relapse you know the feeling.
Tired. Heavy. Slow. Already behind before Dhuhr even comes.

The ruh and nafs feel at war.
Feed the nafs through haram - the ruh feels weaker.

The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the “Ran” on the heart.

And you can feel that weight. Every time.

What does your du’a sound like when you’re carrying that?

1. When you’re angry - The Prophet ﷺ advised to stay silent.

2. When you don’t have knowledge - “Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge.” (17:36)

3. When someone is sharing a hardship - listen more, speak less.
4. When your words may turn into gossip - silence protects honor.

5. When you feel like showing off good deeds - hidden deeds are more sincere.

6. When a discussion turns into an argument - not every argument is worth continuing.

There's an ayah in the Quran that compares certain believers to donkeys.

And it's not talking about disbelievers.

It's talking about us.
This isn't a comfortable post.

It's not going to make you feel warm inside.

But sometimes the Quran doesn't comfort you.

Sometimes it confronts you.
Allah says:

“The example of those who were entrusted with the Torah but then did not carry it is that of a donkey carrying books.” (Surah Al-Jumu’ah 62:5)

The donkey carries valuable knowledge on its back, yet understands nothing of it.
