🧵 Here is the TRUTH: Dangerous gain-of-function research was funded by the U.S. government around the world, directed and approved by people like Dr Fauci. @DNIGabbard exposed that yesterday.
Using U.S. government data, put together and uncovered by career subject matter experts in the Intelligence Community and other government agencies, yesterday’s release highlighted one example of the many overseas biolabs funded by the U.S., the research conducted there, and the significant risks they pose to the world, especially when located in a country at war.

Slide 1: A draft President’s Daily Brief, written after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, details threats to Ukraine labs due to dangerous pathogen storage. Biden officials confirmed this on the record.
The biolabs in Ukraine and other countries held and may continue to hold hazardous pathogens, they were built/funded by the U.S., and received substantial funding that powerful people and interests want to keep flowing.
Slide 2: A map created by ODNI using U.S. government data to show lab locations, biosafety levels at each location, the type of research being conducted, and if biological weapons were being stored.
Slide 3: A list of labs and data pulled from the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine website that shows U.S. government funding, the contracting company used, and whether or not the lab had a permit for “especially dangerous pathogens.”
Slide 4: Data compiled from open source information that was corroborated with U.S. government information including U.S. Embassy in Ukraine data, showing connections to the defense industry and research project data on U.S. funded highly pathogenic avian flu and other highly infectious viruses in biocontainment labs in Ukraine.
The existence, history, locations and funding of these U.S. funded biolabs was intentionally covered up by powerful people falsely claiming that the labs do not exist and accusing anyone who says otherwise to be foreign assets and traitors to America.
Those lies are still being propagated today by the same powerful people and their allies who wish to see this dangerous research continue with little to no oversight.
.@POTUS rightfully took action over a year ago to put a stop to U.S. funding of gain-of-function research, to protect the American people and people all around the world.
@POTUS ODNI will continue to work closely with partners across the U.S. government to identify where these dangerous biolabs are located across the world, what pathogens they contain, and to end dangerous gain-of-function research.

🧵Let’s debunk the Wall Street Journal’s latest “exclusive.”
The @WSJ claims DNI Gabbard “stalled” a whistleblower complaint.
The facts tell the truth.👇
WSJ leads with: “An intelligence official has alleged wrongdoing…” But buried 13 paragraphs down: The Biden-Era inspector general determined the allegations weren’t credible.
Let’s be clear: The complaint against the DNI FAILED credibility review.
WSJ claims the DNI’s office “hindered dissemination.”
FACTS:
-Security guidance was provided
-The ICIG—not the DNI—manages delivery to the Hill
-Coordination with Congress is already underway
#DYK@CIA and @usairforce launched the nation’s first operationally successful film-return reconnaissance satellite, codenamed CORONA, 60 years ago? #ICinHistory
Spurred by the Cold War, CORONA provided unmanned aerial reconnaissance of denied spaces and increased photographic coverage over areas like the Soviet Union. Here’s a look at the first images snapped on Aug. 18, 1960.
Photo interpreters from the National Photographic Interpretation Center, now @NGA_GEOINT, would view the CORONA imagery on light tables and look for key pieces of intelligence for @DeptofDefense and other partners. Light tables were essential for seeing what the eye couldn't.
Thomas Monheim has been named the Acting IC Inspector General. Monheim is a career intelligence professional and retired Colonel from the U.S. Air Force Reserves who has served our nation in a wide variety of roles throughout his distinguished career.
Monheim most recently served as @NGA_GEOINT General Counsel, providing legal advice to enable NGA's mission consistent with the Constitution and law. His prior civilian service includes serving as @ODNIgov Deputy General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel at NCTC.
His military service includes time as a prosecutor, defense counsel, military judge, and Deputy General Counsel of the White House Military Office. He mobilized for 9 months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and for another 9 months in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
