INS Varsha is India's first secret, underground base for nuclear powered submarines.
It is intended to serve as a dedicated base for India's nuclear powered submarines, particularly the vessels of the Indian Navy's strategic submarine fleet.
One of the prime features of INS Varsha is an underground tunnel and sheltered harbor system that allows submarines to enter and leave while being less visible to satellites, reconnaissance aircraft, and enemy surveillance.
And to top it all, a major facility of the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre is being developed near INS Varsha. The purpose is to provide nuclear engineering, reactor support, maintenance, and technical infrastructure for India's fleet of nuclear powered submarines.
India is now readying its second strike capability, the ability to respond even after absorbing a nuclear attack, which is the foundation of a nations nuclear deterrence.
This has given acidity and diarrhoea to China, USA and Pakistan along with two other nations.
