A lot of people on British RW twitter denouncing Lowe as a "Thatcherite", but Thatcher was a lifelong Powellite and her government repeatedly tried to end commonwealth immigration, only to be frustrated by Eurocrats. Her private views reflect this attitude as well. 
If anything, Lowe is closer in his social views to wets like Kenneth Clarke than he is anyone else from the Thatcherite period.
