You only need 3 questions to audit your whole day. Most Muslims fail all 3.

Every night, you replay your day in your head. Most people call it overthinking. The Sunnah turns it into accountability.

The Companions (RA) would hold themselves accountable every day.

Here are 3 questions to ask yourself every night:

1. Did I pray every salah on time?

Not, “Did I pray?”
Not, “Did I make them up?”
On time.

The fard prayers are the foundation of a Muslim’s day and the most basic accountability check.

If you can’t answer yes to this one, fix this first.

2. Did I do one act of ihsan that no one will ever know about?

The sincerity check.

Something done with no one watching, praising, or thanking you.

A du’a for someone. A quiet act of kindness.

These are the receipts your nafs can’t fake.

3. Am I one step closer to who I want to be when I meet Allah?

The trajectory check.

Did I move closer to or further from the person I want to be before Allah?

If closer, thank Allah.
If further, make tawbah and try again.

3 questions. 3 minutes. Every night before you sleep.

To become a better Muslim, first notice where you need to improve.

Be honest with yourself, seek Allah’s forgiveness, and strive to do better tomorrow.

May Allah make us among those who constantly return to Him.
