The Du’a of Prophet Yunus (AS)

When everything feels impossible, recite this du’a:
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
The Prophet ﷺ said:

The supplication of Dhun-Nun (Yunus) when he supplicated while in the belly of the whale was: ‘Lā ilāha illā Anta, Subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn.’ No Muslim supplicates with it for anything except that Allah responds to him. (Jami al-Tirmidhi 3505)
Allah says after mentioning this du’a:

“So We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus do We save the believers.” (Qur’an 21:88)

What is the richest thing a person can own?

Money?
Property?
Gold?

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ gave a surprising answer.
He ﷺ said:

“Let one of you have a grateful heart, a tongue that remembers Allah, and a believing wife who helps him with regard to the Hereafter.”

(Jamiʿ al-Tirmidhi 3094)
Wealth 1: Atongue that remembers Allah

A tongue that says:

SubḥānAllāh. Alḥamdulillāh. Allāhu Akbar. Lā ilāha illallāh.

It earns reward while you cook, walk, drive, or work.

If you wake up at night, don’t waste that moment. Make this du’a and ask Allah anything. Allah promises a response.

Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul-mulku wa lahul-ḥamdu wa huwa ʿalā kulli shay’in qadīr.

Alḥamdu lillāh, Subḥānallāh, lā ilāha illallāh, Allāhu Akbar, wa lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh.

Then say:

Allāhumma-ghfir lī.
Meaning: O Allah, forgive me.

The way you treat what you already have might be quietly affecting your rizq… and costing you more than you think.
Think about it honestly.

When you make dua for more rizq… what does your current space look like?

Your room, your clothes, your belongings, your finances - are they organized and cared for, or left in chaos and neglect?

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about awareness.
Because here’s something people don’t always realize:

You can make dua with tears in your eyes.

You can stand in tahajjud every night.

You can recite every surah connected to rizq and barakah.

Allah opens doors of success instantly when you read this dua
This is a powerful dua for anyone seeking success in studies, career, life decisions, and rizq.

It can be read when you feel:
• exam pressure
• lack of focus
• career confusion
• desire for growth
• need for clarity
• financial stress and need for rizq
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا وَعَمَلًا مُتَقَبَّلًا

Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi‘an wa rizqan tayyiban wa ‘amalan mutaqabbalan

“O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good and lawful provision, and deeds that are accepted.” (Ibn Majah)

Your rizq will multiply the moment you understand the 30-second thing the Prophet ﷺ did with money.
The Prophet ﷺ once stood up in the middle of a gathering and hurried home.

His companions were surprised.

When he returned, they asked what had happened.

The Prophet ﷺ said he had remembered a piece of gold that was still in his house.
He disliked the thought of it remaining there overnight.

So he ordered that it be given away immediately.

→ Sahih al-Bukhari 1430

Think about that.

Most of us hold onto wealth because we’re afraid of having less.

A girl who commits a sin or makes a mistake, and despite all that, she goes, lays out her prayer mat, prays, and makes du’a as if nothing happened! Honestly, and no offense, you’re…
You’re sitting there doing the greatest jihad that Allah loves! 🥹🌸

Worship during times of brokenness is precious to Allah, and it has come in the authentic hadith from Abu Hurairah (RA) that the Prophet ﷺ said:
“By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, if you did not sin, Allah would remove you and bring a people who sin, then seek forgiveness from Allah, so He forgives them.” (Narrated by Muslim)
