We all know, but for an incorrect off-side flag, #NornIron would've won the 1982 World Cup. I'd not be so bold as to say we'd definitely have followed that up with a Euro 84 win had we correctly qualified based on our H2H record vs West Germany but ... Image
... given our record against these teams, we'd definitely have made the semis. We beat Spain in Spain, we finished above Portugal in the 1982 qualifiers and did the double over of Romania in the 86 qualifiers ... Image
In the semis we'd have faced Denmark, and in 1986 we drew with them, so presumably they'd have lost again on pelanties ... Image
