A monologue on Obedience in the Church today:

First of all, it should be noted that the Church is the immaculate bride of Christ and properly speaking she cannot be wounded, except insofar as her militant children here on earth are harmed. She grieves as it were at loss of Faith at Vatican II and subsequent “reforms” after, but she herself is indestructible (Matthew 16:18).

To the subject:

—>
What is the virtue of obedience?

“Obedience (Lat. obêdire, ‘to hearken to’, hence ‘to obey’) is the complying with a command or precept. It is here regarded not as a transitory and isolated act but rather as a virtue or principle of righteous conduct. It is then said to be the moral habit by which one carries out the order of his superior with the precise intent of fulfilling the injunction.” (Catholic Encyclopedia, 1911).
In other words, because obedience is a virtue, it requires continuous acts stemming from a good moral quality in the soul (habit) directed to fulfill the will of a law-giver.

God gives to us instruments to guide us to follow his laws (thou shalt honor thy father and thy mother).

—>
Obedience to the Church hierarchy falls under this 4th commandment of God.
It must be noted, the 4th commandment is a positive command. Positive commands admit of exceptions to the letter of the law.
Negative commands do not: “I am the Lord thy God thou shalt not have strange gods before me”
The Alta Vendita, a secret meeting of a Freemasonic sect planned over one hundred years ago how to use false obedience to “ deceive if possible even the elect” (Matthew 24:24).

Just like any virtue, there can be excess or defect. The enemies of God wished to use its excess.

—>
Excess obedience is what we call ‘blind obedience’, and will obey the superior’s command either without looking at the morality of the command or not caring about the morality of the command (greater malice) and fulfilling it anyways.
This is often done out of fear which is what…

——>
likens this kind of “obedience” to the devils who “believe and tremble” because they have not the love of God in them when they obey the commands of Christ or their master- Satan, only fear. (Slavish Obedience)

—>
In todays ‘crisis in the Church’ (militant) we are told “you must accept the new Mass, you must accept Vatican Council II”.
You must be obedient but in this case, obedience is to say “no, that new Mass and new council are not of God and I will “obey God rather than man’” (Acts 5:29)

—>
The new Mass is just that, new. Vatican II is a ‘robber council’ which has teachings contrary to Tradition, so we do not accept it. It is not part of the ‘ordinary magisterium’ as nothing of error can be part of the ordinary magisterium.

—>
Thus, we follow the spirit of the law in “bypassing” the letter of the law.
The spirit of the law is where the virtue is.

For example, the law says follow “the speed limit”. Your wife is bleeding profusely from an accident, so you rush her to the hospital…

—>
You drive through a 55 mph zone at 70 mph. You are not breaking the law. You are fulfilling it as the purpose of the law is the safety of the people. The safety in this case of your wife requires you to go faster than the posted sign. You abided by the law.

—>
Today, those who go against Tradition and the last 2,000 years of Church teaching are hailed as having “full communion” while those who uphold Tradition are “disobedient”.

This comes from a fundamental misconception of what obedience is and requires…

—>
The new kind of obedience of Vatican II is slavish blind obedience and often with the attached fear of “you won’t be approved” “I will lose my pension” or “I will be ostracized”.

To this fear we do not need to yield as our Lord already has warned us:

—>
John 16:1 These things have I spoken to you that you may not be scandalized.
16:2 They will put you out of the synagogues: yea, the hour cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doth a service to God.

But we must remember:

—>
Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye when they shall revile you, and persecute you, and speak all that is evil against you, untruly, for my sake:
5:12 Be glad and rejoice for your reward is very great in heaven. For so they persecuted the prophets that were before you.
