Watched @foodevomovie today (finally), and I really enjoyed it. With one exception. 1/
As others have said, it was powerful, persuasive, & exposed much of the hypocrisy of anti-GMO rhetoric. Very well done, on balance. 2/
However, I was uncomfortable with the way Dr. Benbrook was portrayed: as a hired gun, willing to trade integrity for funding. 3/
I disagree with Dr. Benbrook on many things, but I think he is a man of integrity and a valuable voice in this discussion. 4/
The way he was dismissed at the end of the film along side Jeffrey Smith and Food Babe and Zen Honeycutt was unfortunate. 5/
Benbrook, unlike the others, will concede important nuance exists, and actually uses credible data to support his assertions. 6/
Because of this, many of the points Dr. Benbrook makes are worthy of thoughtful consideration. 7/
Even if you think he is an ideologue, he is at the very least an ideologue with data and real expertise on this topic. 8/
But again, other than that criticism, I thought @foodevomovie was really great. I hope it is widely seen. 9/9
