Mental health resources for people who can't afford therapy right now (A thread. Please read and RT to spread awareness)
I realize a lot of people would go to see a therapist if they could, but it's just not in everyone's budget. So I hope this list helps...
1) First I'll recommend Open Path Collective openpathcollective.org because it's a collection of U.S therapists who offer lowered rates.

2) Recovery Inc: This saved my life. Online and in person group therapy mtgs based on proven therapy methods. recoveryinternational.org
3) @7Cupsot: Online community offering free trained "listeners" and also online chat, and small steps you can do each day for mental health.
4) One of many online therapy options. Cheaper than traditional therapy. Will work with you if you have $$ issues. betterhelp.com
@SipandOm meditation podcast. Meditation goes a long way in promoting mental well being, reduced stress. Host Mary Meckley is wonderful.
I'll add more to the list if I can think of any. Really highly recc. @RecoveryIntl as the meetings are donation based. RT for awareness!

7) @therapy4bgirls podcast hosted by a black female therapist covering issues that pertain to black American women specifically.
8) Mindspot. Screening quiz, Free 8 wk courses in dealing w depression & anxiety. Based in Australia but open 2 all. mindspot.org.au
9) Crisis Text Line. just text HELP to 741741 and you can talk to a licensed therapist via text. not as stressful as talking - @glofulmind
