Despite the Leaving Cert grades controversy, Norma Foley has impressed Fianna Fail colleagues but her loyalty to the Taoiseach may hold her back in the future.
Mr Martin has very few allies left in the party, as proved by an awkward situation in the Dáil bar two weeks ago when a group of disenfranchised Fianna Fáil TDs almost cheered after he quickly finished a cup of tea and left without acknowledging all but one of them.
The uncomfortable encounter is a running joke in the party but it is emblematic of the relationship between Mr Martin and his members.
Breaking: Michael D'Arcy has NOT received a Standards in Public Office (Sipo) exemption to work for the Irish Association of Investment Managers (IAIM).
Rather, he says he will not engage in any lobbying activity during his first 12 months in his role as Chief Executive.
IAIM's website says it "exists to represent the members and the investment management industry in Ireland to relevant corporate, political, regulatory, media and other stakeholders".
