(1) Internet Freedom includes the ability of the service provider to do as it pleases.

I will not demand that Twitter provide me with a free service on my terms.

Hence the fallacy.

I doubt we'll see much change except, perhaps, less bots.
(2) I can see how the sheer volume of automated messaging drains twitter resources and causes the whole thing to slow down like a river of molasses without any benefit to Twitter or its users.
(3) If it was my responsibility, I would implement whatever measures were necessary to eliminate them, regardless of apparent bias.

So I am not worried.

If you do not have a battery of hundreds of smart phones resending or liking crap...

(4) Enjoy the ride and what may be a better experience.

If you do...Then you might have to rethink your model and find ways around the new rules.

Me? I don't give a crap.

(5) I'm just a guy having conversations.

I do not troll anybody; I do not used the services of click farms; I do not buy followers and I do not post click baits.

So I do not care. Bring it on.

As for "privacy" issues...
(6) I don't give a shite either. This is the internet folks. Your privacy died a long tima ago.

As a researcher, I can find what you ate last night and whether or not you liked it. I've been able to do it for quite some time.

Take @Jamesford66, he has become a good friend.
(7) But our first encounter was not at all auspicious. So I found out who he was to see if he was real.

He was.

Scared the living crap out of him by DM.

To show him that I was a bona fide researcher, I laid out his life's history to him, including very private information.
(8) When an idiot decided to make a threatening call, I traced him and posted an aerial picture of his house.

I think he's still hiding under the bed.

If I can do that, by myself, in a few minutes, using open sources...
(9) Then I can assure you none of us has any privacy at all.

That train left the station long ago.

You don't like it?

Move to a cabin in the forest with no electronics and live off of the land, but even then, every time you go to town to by milk you will leave a trace.
(10) So you really have two choices. Worry till you perforate an ulcer about a matter that is as ultimately unimportant as it is beyond your control, or join me in enjoying life not giving a crap.

Your call.

Whatever you do...
(11) I'll enjoy knowing that 6% of you like Mexican Food (really?); that 62% of you watch the Sci-Fi channel and that 29% of you are registered Democrats (surprise, surprise, there is hope after all!)

Welcome to the Brave New World.
