First, to get an idea of how Never Trump I was and why, read these:……

This was probably the best summation of my Never Trump position:…
I managed to distill my fears about Trump into one handy meme:
So, the Cliff's Notes version: I was afraid Trump would turn out to be Obama-On-Steroids, taking Obama's Constitutional abuses & lawless further and further.
I viewed Trump as being even more contemptuous of the Constitution than Obama is, seeing as an obstacle in his way. Trump would merely trample it same as Obama, saying "Hey when Obama did this it was fine. Stand back, I'll show you how to REALLY do it!"
It wasn't until Trump had been in office for several months I began to get a good look at his actual agenda & how he went about doing the job. And I realized most of my fears about him were completely unfounded.
For one thing, Obama micromanaged everything. He really didn't know how to delegate.

In contrast, I saw the team Trump had assembled around him and how he let them do their jobs. I was impressed by the cabinet Trump installed, the people he had around him.
By May of this year, I'd seen Trump actively working to REVERSE most of Obama's abuses of the office & power grabs.

Instead of embracing & enlarging Obama's excesses, Trump was actually REDUCING the power of the office.
Obama used Executive Orders to increase his power. I had assumed Trump would do the same, embracing the 'Governing by Executive Order' strategy that Obama had used for much of his 2 terms.

Instead Trump did the exact opposite.
So by June I'd seen enough. Whether he ran for President just to boost his own ego, or because he truly wants to fix our broken gov't...or BOTH...the guy was GETTING THE JOB DONE.
The G20 trip and then the Saudi Arabia trip also showed me that 1 of my biggest fears about Trump was groundless, that'd he be viewed as a buffoonish lightweight when meeting other world leaders.
The MEDIA tried very hard to sell the narrative of Trump the Ugly Buffoon American Abroad, but anybody with eyes to see could sense this was not the case. We saw it again on the recent Asian trip, a huge contrast to how Obama was treated.
As I watched Trump begin implementing both his domestic & foreign policy, I realized he's got a good team of people giving him advice and he's listening to them.
As time as passed, other people in the Never Trump brigade have begun to notice they are spending all their time harping on Trump's style, his methods, his tweets while downplaying or rationalizing away the RESULTS he's getting.
of @NRO wrote a great column recently about this, how some are starting to notice their fixation on what they don't like about Trump's management style or personality keeps them from acknowledging his successes.…
Now would all the positive developments of the last 11 months have happened under a President Cruz or a President Rubio?

Well it doesn't matter. That's all water under the bridge.
Trump's successes and fulfilled campaign promises are real, and by this time next year, there's no reason they shouldn't continue to increase in effect.

Which means those still banging the Never Trump drum a year from now will look even more incoherent.
