Liberals have a 2-channel morality. Conservatives have a 5-channel morality.
Both liberals and conservatives believe in protecting the innocent from harm and both value justice and fairness.
Then something interesting happens.
Ingroup loyalty is something the liberal demands but this is problematic. The savagery the Left denies of itself must be projected onto conservatives. Low levels of endorsement increases the efficiency of Leftist propaganda and continued stereotyping of conservatives.
Moral disagreements within cultures appear to be most steeply influenced by purity.
The Liberal rejects ingroup loyalty as moral. In that vacuum, the interwoven construct of diversity and multiculturalism appear necessary.
Questioning authority isn't wrong but it becomes hazardous when respect for authority is rejected as an origin of moral value.
The consequence of the Left's rejection of conservative modes of purity and sanctity is staring you in the face every day.
"The great conservative insight is that order is really hard to achieve, it's really precious and really easy to lose."

~ Jonathan Haidt
"But as the liberties and the restrictions vary with times and circumstances and admit to infinite modifications, they cannot be settled upon any abstract rule; and nothing is so foolish as to discuss them upon that principle."
