OVERVIEW:

— dancer/youtube gamer jjk starts to realize just how lonely he is after someone points out how obnoxious and cocky he is

— popular model taehyung signs up for a dating website to try and get a date with someone he can fit around his schedule

— jungkook has always been boastful about his looks and his talents, his face almost permanently stuck in a cocky smirk. he posts dance vids every other day and gaming almost 24/7 to appease his so-called fans. however, one day one of them calls him out on his yt channel.

— he normally ignores the haters and laughs at comments like these, but somehow, this one hit too close to home.

— when asked a question about his relationship status, taehyung thinks about how it's been almost a year since he last went on a date. he then remembers his tight schedule, being a model and an actor, and quickly shoots down the thought. however... jimin might be on to something

PART FOUR — END

— after a lot of thinking and using namjoon's advice (only the good advice), jeongguk decides he really does want to meet this tae guy. he's like the perfect guy to be friends with. but maybe tae doesn't see that in kook?

— feeling more lonely than ever, jeongguk goes to the only other non-work related # in his phone besides namjoon.

— meanwhile taehyung feels bad. he could tell kook was upset when he turned down his invite, but he just isn't ready to reveal himself yet. he goes to jimin for consoling. only, just minutes into the conversation, taehyung receives another text.

could fanwars actually be brought to an end?

— taehyung posts a selca with jeongguk and many fans are surprised to see the two together. while many share their joyous excitement on the get-together, others voiced their not-so-king opinions.

— even on gguk's post, fans are thrilled, and others shouldn't even call themselves fans. yet, user seouljjk spills the tea and possibly ends the fanwar earlier than expected.

— jimin has always been there for taehyung. whether it be when he was a trainee in the industry or when his first magazine shoot came out or even when his first acting job aired. moral is that jimin has always been Right There when tae needs him. especially when it comes to boys.

— same goes with namjoon and jeongguk. they have been beside each other since almost day one and whenever one needs comforting or just good advice, they turn to each other. although ever since gguk signed up for that dating app, it's mainly been him coming to joon.

jeongguk isn't jealous. he swears.

— a few days later, taehyung touches down in malaysia for a new magazine shoot. jimin lowkey wishes his best friend brought him along.

— when taehyung wakes up, he sees that he has a bunch of notifs from kook. rolling his eyes(then wincing bc GOD how much Did he drink last night??), he opens the app and reads the messages. at first he's mad, then his heart warms. until he sees the picture. then he's mad again.

PART EIGHT — END

taehyung confides in jimin, though jimin is wary

— taehyung does end up going to gguk's. when he gets there, gguk has a beer in his hand and throws himself onto his guest.

"taehyungie! t-taehyung thank you for coming! i was so lonely" he pouts "i h-have no friends so i invited y-you!"

taehyung looks at him, worried.

"jeongguk, why are you drinking?" he questions.

"i-i was sad and lonely and i knew i could only talk to you if i was a little tipsy" he explains, using his fingers to emphasize "little"

"jeongguk you know you don't have to drink to talk to me? plus, i'm your friend"

"yeah b-but, tae! tae is my other friend... or he was... i don't really know.... let's sit down!" gguk skips over to the couch and waves for taehyung to follow.

taehyung gulps, doing so and sitting beside the boy. what if he finds out he's been living this double life as tae?

what if he thinks He's the one playing with Jeongguk's feelings and not the other way around?

"tae doesn't like me... do you like me taehyung? ha... tae and taehyung sound s-similar"

taehyung lets out a dry chuckle "yeah it does...."

"do you though?"

"what?"

"do you like me?

"what do you mean?" taehyung chokes.

"am i your friend?" gguk asks.

nodding, taehyung answers, "yes"

"good," gguk scoots closer and rest his chin on taehyung's shoulder. "i like you too."

— later that night, after taehyung is already home, his phone vibrates next to him as he tries to fall asleep.

in a panic, he turns to his one and only savior: jimin.

he takes his friend's "helpful" advice

— jeongguk realizes his mistake and switches to his messages with taehyung. he runs a sweaty palm across his aching head then takes another sip of the beer he found even though taehyung tried So Hard to hide it well. he texts taehyung with a slight pout

"h-hewwo?"

"jeongguk."

j: "taehyungie! i looove hanging out with you taehyungie! i wanna kiss you again!"

t: "where'd you even get the alcohol this time?"

j: "it wasn't the first time someone tried to hide it from me in the bathroom cabinet..."

t: "oh my god"

t: "jeongguk, please, please tell me why you're drinking so much tonight? this just.... doesn't seem like you"

"but taehyungie, you barely even know me!" he responds with a giggle.

t: "yeah well i know you enough that i don't think you should be drinking this much."

it goes quiet on the other end for a while. taehyung can hear jeongguk's breathing, which lets him know that the boy didn't hang up

"taehyungie?" the younger speaks up, voice quiet

"yeah?"

"have you ever been in love with someone you don't even know?" he asks.

taehyung gulps.
