Tomorrow my good friend @GieltyTom will be running a 12-hour linear LARP I wrote. #LARP #LRP #RPG
@GieltyTom For various reasons, I'm not at the LARP event myself (I've got parenting duty this weekend while my wife is at the LARP).
@GieltyTom Despite the fact that I won't be there (and so won't see how it goes), I am sorely tempted to try to live-tweet it.
@GieltyTom After all, I know when it should start, how long it should take, what (might) happen... And no-one playing the LARP will have access to Twitter.
@GieltyTom On the other hand, fitting in a tweet every 30 minutes throughout the day (around the more-important toddler-parenting) might be a challenge.
@GieltyTom By now, if all has gone to plan, a rag-tag band of heroes will be eating a quick meal in an ancient hall strewn with sand and bones. #LARP
@GieltyTom This morning they learned the last line of a powerful prophecy that foretells victory to their King, if he can reclaim three ancient citadels long lost and forgotten.
@GieltyTom After consulting the last person alive who remembers anything of these "Missing Three", they travelled to a desert plateau to seek the ancient citadel once called Danak Gil.
@GieltyTom Through force of arms, use of magic and (hopefully) sharp wits, they have defeated all that stood in their way.
@GieltyTom The undead, the unquiet souls of executed necromancers, the wardings and other defences left by the former inhabitants if Danak Gil, all have been overcome.
@GieltyTom Until finally they came to the great hall, strewn with desert sand and the bones of the ancient order that lived and died there.
@GieltyTom As our heroes entered the hall to see the spectral remnants of the once-great order, the ghost of its High Lord asked them a single question.
@GieltyTom "Are we forgiven?"
@GieltyTom I am not there, so do not know what answer was given, nor what happened next. Our heroes were either able to grant the order absolution, or forced to destroy its undead remnants.

@ShadowTaxes @Maddambeltaine Hmm, Smokey and the Bandit as inspiration... Throw in Convoy, Cannonball Run, maybe Duel... I think you've got something there.
@ShadowTaxes @Maddambeltaine Ok, if @weaselpunk can get away with using The Goonies as inspiration for a Star Wars story, then I can definitely use Smokey and the Bandit.
